Stacey Dooley says partner Kevin Clifton "let her down" after he returned home from tour empty-handed.
Strictly Come Dancing professional Kevin, 42 was away from home earlier this year performing in the musical Chicago. It left Stacey, 38, at home alone with daughter Minnie.
Television presenter Stacey says she likes Kevin to make a fuss about her whenever he's back home. On the Off Menu podcast, she was asked if Kevin had brought her any gifts back from his travels.
She replied: "Not really, he's really let me down there hasn't he. Got to pull your socks up, got to try harder, make an effort."
Stacey also opened up about loving the extra attention she receives from Kevin on Valentine's Day, recalling how he gifted her and Minnie matching necklaces to celebrate, reports Wales Online.
When talking about her affinity for Valentine's festivities, Stacey elaborated: "Some girls do get the ick, but not me, I need fuss, fuss, fuss. I just love treats."
Despite admitting her love for surprises, she quipped about the consequences if the romantic gestures were absent: "'If you don't get me anything for the 14th, you are dumped'."
She also mentioned that Kevin honoured the tradition by providing a bouquet of flowers for their daughter this year. On a concluding note, Stacey mentioned: "She got a bouquet off her dad. You've got to set the bar higher so when she's older, she doesn't go for a man who won't buy her anything for Valentine's Day."
Stacey, however, confessed she's not keen on receiving chocolate as a present. This revelation came as comedian Ed Gamble shared that he had purchased a box of Lindt chocolate balls for his wife Charlie.
Stacey remarked: "I'd rather nothing than a box of Lindt balls." Ed retorted: "Well, wait until you hear this, I've done half of those balls, she's not had one."
The Luton-born Stacey formed a winning partnership with Kevin when they triumphed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018. The couple made their relationship public in January of the following year.
In 2022, they announced Stacey's pregnancy with Minnie, and the family welcomed the new addition in January 2023. Having recently moved from London to Liverpool, Stacey frequently offers fans a peek at their dream home via social media.
This move brought the family nearer to Stacey's mother, who hails from Merseyside. Speaking to the ECHO, Kevin said: "Stacey loves looking at houses on the internet. Looking at interiors and stuff is her favourite thing to do.
"She just happened to have seen something she liked and thought 'oh it's not too far away from my mum'. We went and had a look and the second she walked in was like 'I love it and I can really see us living here'. It all happened really quickly and we love it."
He also mentioned: "Our little girl is going to be raised as a Scouser."
