Wynne Evans took a break from social media following an incident on Strictly Come Dancing
Welsh presenter Wynne Evans, famous for his role as the opera-singing face of GoCompare, is making a comeback to performing in the wake of the Strictly Come Dancing scandal.
Wynne, who additionally hosts his own BBC Radio Wales programme, withdrew from the Strictly Live tour and took a hiatus from presenting his radio show following an incident where he was heard making an unseemly remark towards host Janette Manrara during the event's launch held in Birmingham earlier this year.
Now, after returning to social media, he has returned to performing on stage. Posting a video of him singing with a band, Wynne said: "Unexpected to be called up on stage last night. Thanks @jackamblindrums #truthwins #wynners".

Since returning to social media, Wynne has frequently employed hashtags like #TruthWins and #Wynners. In a recent career update for his followers, he divulged that he was back working in the recording studio.
Accompanying a snapshot of a microphone, Wynne teased: "#VoiceOver recording today.", reports Wales Online. Reports have surfaced suggesting that Wynne may no longer star in upcoming GoCompare advertisements.

He has been synonymous with his character Gio Compario, having first burst onto screens in the adverts for GoCompare in 2009.
While Wynne has yet to make a return to his BBC Wales radio slot, he previously stated after withdrawing from the Strictly tour: "I've agreed with the BBC that I'll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing."
He expressed his remorse, stating: "I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection. Apologies to those I won't get to see at the remaining performances and I'm grateful to my fellow tour gang for all the amazing support they have given me."
