Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Scanlon swiftly took a swipe at Katie Hopkins, upon hearing what she reportedly said about her podcast co-stat Vicky Pattison
Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Scanlon has hit out Katie Hopkins, in defence of her co-star Vicky Pattison. Vicky, 37, says she avoids Twitter due to seeing too many harsh comments about herself.
One of these comments, she claims, came from former The Apprentice star Katie who branded her a s**g.
Discussing the advice she's given to contestants on her new reality show The Honesty Box, she said: "I'm giving them all the advice like, 'Stay off Twitter', let's be serious, [it's a] cesspool."
In response, Angela, 41, said on their Get A Grip podcast: "I mean just genuinely stay off Twitter, I feel like that's good life advice."
Vicky, who rose to fame on the reality show Geordie Shore, added: "I've never read a decent tweet about myself on Twitter, I remember once Katie Hopkins called us a s**g."
Stunned by her comment, Angela hit back with a swipe, responding: "Shut up, I mean she's a bigger s**g."
"Like not to pull up that thread, the last thing I'd want is for her to do an angry TikTok about us," Vicky replied, laughing.
Angela went on to say she often got Katie mixed up with I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Gillian McKeith.

"She's interchangeable with Gillian McKeith now in my mind, I don't know why, I feel like they're the same person," Angela said.
Laughing, Vicky chimed in: "No, Gillian McKeith is like a harmless f*****g woman who stores spices in her [knickers].
"Every time she goes into the jungle she sneaks salt and pepper into her [knickers]. She's gone in twice."
Reach PLC has contacted a representative for Katie for comment.
At the time of the apparent comment being made about Vicky, her former Geordie Shore co-star Charlotte Crosby rushed to her defence.
"I can't believe Katie Hopkins called Vicky a s**g," she told OK! Magazine.
"She needs to back off! She's never got anything nice to say and it's starting to get boring. I'd rather she just not talk at all. Who is she anyway?!"
Katie is no stranger to a controversial comment about headline-hitting topics and people in the public eye.

Last year, the 50-year-old was accused of mocking Kate Garraway following the death of her husband Derek Draper.
In a video on social media, she said: "8.30 tonight there’s a documentary on the TV that you all need to watch. Yeah, it’s a Kate Garraway documentary, so it’s important that I finish on time for you tonight.”
Katie added, laughing: "It’s Kate Garraway: Life After Derek. There’s also a book she’s releasing to go with the documentary… he’s only been dead a week.”
Good Morning Britain's Kate was not in the process of a book at the time. In support of the presenter, many hit out at Katie including Piers Morgan, who branded her “despicable”, while comedian Dom Joly said: “She is a pure sociopath – zero empathy, total grifter.”
