Chris McCausland has continued his comedy career following his Strictly Come Dancing victory with Dianne even turning up to a few of his shows in support

Comedian Chris McCausland has expressed his irritation at his Strictly Come Dancing dance partner Dianne Buswell following a cheeky prank.
Speaking on their podcast ‘Winning isn’t Everything’, the pair discussed how they both share the habit of fiddling with or biting their nails, before moving onto talk about what happened when Dianne turned up at one of Chris’ gigs.
However, when she turned up she decided to put on a fake voice to prank Chris, something he didn’t appreciate as it "took advantage" of the fact he cannot see.
Explaining that his lack of sight means he has to take voices at ear value, Chris said that when he meets new people, he has to walk a social tightrope.
He explained: “She turned up doing a voice. I didn’t know she was coming, she turned up doing a voice pretending to be somebody else and looking back, her voice is very much Monty Python.
“But some people sound like that. If somebody talks to me in a voice that I don’t think sounds like a proper voice I can’t just go ‘Who the hell are you? Stop being a weirdo’ can I?
I have to basically assume that I might be talking to a person for whom that is their voice otherwise I’ll just be rude to a lot of people.”

Whilst the interaction may have seemed acidic on the surface, both Chris and Dianne laughed with each other as they discussed the comedic incident. In fact, the friendship between the pair since winning the show has warmed the hearts of many.
Posting a video of the pair travelling with the trophy, Dianne wrote: “Joe, Me and the glitter ball went on a little road trip to visit the one and only Chris McCausland on tour (yonks) it was the first time we had seen each other since the final.
We got to see him do his thing on stage not only was his posture 10/10 but it was genuinely the funniest thing I had ever seen it was sooooo good to see ya partner #winningisnteverything.”

Last year, blind dancer Shaun Hayward told the BBC: “He's had a real, real journey and his story has touched the hearts of people.
"For me personally it was great to see because I've been banging this drum for years and I really needed someone of Chris's profile to raise the awareness of dancing for people with sight loss. For a blind person that is true liberty, real freedom.”
