Kai Widdrington took to ITV's Lorraine to share some important news with stand-in host Christine Lampard as he kicks off a brand new tour
Strictly Come Dancing sensation Kai Widdrington graced ITV's Lorraine with his presence, chatting to stand-in presenter Christine Lampard about the launch of his new tour.
The professional dancer, aged 29, shared his excitement about his latest venture, Evolution, which debuts today in High Wycombe, and revealed to Christine that he's never felt better, declaring himself in the "best shape" of his life.
Kai, who was notably without a celebrity partner in the 2024 series of Strictly, discussed his journey of self-improvement and assured fans that he would return with a bang, having embarked on a significant personal transformation.
Dispelling last year's whispers of being overlooked by BBC chiefs, Kai confirmed his return to the dance floor, stating: "I've made a few changes in my life, sorted myself out and I am the happiest and fittest I have ever been in 17 years."

He confidently predicted that post-tour, he'll be at peak fitness, ready to dazzle on Strictly come July, reports Edinburgh Live.
The conversation with Christine also veered towards football, revealing a shared connection through Christine's husband, football icon Frank Lampard, and Kai's father, Thomas Widdrington, a former Southampton midfielder who now manages National League club Aldershot Town.
Kai, whose father is a renowned sportsman, shared that he realised at the young age of 12 that football wasn't his calling, unlike his brother Theo who plays for Aldershot Town FC.

Christine asked Kai about an alternative path in sports: "Your career could have been very different, you could have been a footballer?" to which Kai responded with humour: "I know I could have been playing Frank's team."
The conversation turned to the moment Kai had to break the news to his parents about his true passion.
He recounted the pivotal discussion with his dad: "I had to tell my dad I wanted to be a dancer at age 12. I always knew that I didn't want to be running around a cold football pitch and that being in a warm studio with girls felt much more me.
"Luckily my brother went on to be the professional footballer and managed by my dad."
Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV from 9am.
