Strictly star brings first solo tour to Bournemouth

A STRICTLY star will be bringing their first solo tour to Bournemouth this weekend.

Known for being on Strictly Come Dancing, Nikita Kuzmin will be bringing his brand new show to Bournemouth as part of his first solo UK and Ireland tour.

The show, Midnight Dancer, is described to be a 'dance spectacular', with Nikita adding that it's a love story that demonstrates themes of love and positivity, but also drama and energy.

Differing from many of the other strictly tours and shows, Midnight Dancer follows a 'dramatic storyline' with characters and experiences.

Nikita said that he was extremely excited to be bringing his work to Bournemouth as part of his tour, stating that audience members should expect 'intricate' dance concepts and things they may not have seen before.

Nikita said: "The fact that I have the possibility to have my own show is just a wild concept."

He added that it's also 'wild' that his brain has the potential to create something that can distract people from real life.

Nikita said that he has a 'wonderful team, an amazing singer and amazing dancers' who help to create this narrative.

Nikita stated that he wants his show to transport people away from what's going on in the lives, giving them 'two and a half hours of enjoyment'.

Nikita stated that as well as being a love story, Midnight Dancer focuses on acceptance and breaking down gender stereotypes.

He said: "The evening is full of acceptance, there's an incredible feeling of love in the whole room.

"People accept me for who I am and I accept them for who they are.

"To me it's a very beautiful thing."

Nikita said that the audience should expect a 'very fast paced' show with lots of audience interaction and engagement.

He said: "I am still the youngest on strictly and there is definitely a lot of energy, the show is incredibly fast paced."

After having been to Bournemouth multiple times, Nikita is no stranger to the town.

He said how he was excited to visit Bournemouth's 'beautiful' beaches again, adding that he particularly enjoys walking up Bournemouth West beach.

Midnight Dancer will be at Bournemouth's Pavilion on Saturday April 12 at 7pm.
