Subban Talks Canadiens With Marinaro

Tony Marinaro released the 10-minute interview he recorded with P.K. Subban in Vegas and of course, they talked about the Canadiens.

Love him or hate him, you cannot deny that P.K. Subban is an entertaining guy. He was on the ice when he played, he is on ESPN as a talking head and he always is in interviews. Whenever the former Montreal Canadiens is asked to talk about the Tricolore, he always has nice things to say about the team, the city and the fans, this latest interview is no exception.

While he couldn't fulfill his dream to bring the Stanley Cup back in Montreal during his playing days, Subban is still holding on to hope. The former defenseman explained, that now we have seen a Canadian team in the Cup final, maybe next time it would be the Canadiens and they'd be bringing it back to the Bell Centre.

Asked if he would have liked to be coached by Martin St. Louis when he played, as spontaneous as he's always been he confirmed that he would have liked to. I do wonder what would have happened with number 76 had he been coached by a bench boss who would have appreciated a elite offensive blueliner instead of good old Michel Therrien.

No matter how things ended in Montreal though, Subban still loves the city and the team and seems to be convinced they'll be turning the corner soon. For him, Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki are the future of the team. It's worth mentioning the interview took place prior to the draft, if it hadn't, I have a feeling we would have heard about Ivan Demidov in those 10 minutes.

Hopefully, those who are still missing Subban's play will soon begin their healing process when Lane Hutson graduates to the NHL. Well, if everything works according to plan that is...
