It was just renewed for another season, and after all the drama of season 8, the Summer House season 9 cast is all any Bravofiles can talk about, particularly if the show can survive with both Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard.
The show premiered in January 2017, with Lindsay and Clarl alongside cast members Kyle Cooke, Lauren Wirkus, Ashley Wirkus, Everett Weston, Cristina Gibson, Jaclyn Shuman and Stephen McGee. The show follows the cast as they share, fight, drink, and party in a Montauk, Long Island house over the summer. Lindsay and Carl got together in the show’s fourth season but called it quits in May 2024—their breakup was all caught on camera. Can the show survive? Here’s all we know about the Summer House season 9 cast.
While it hasn’t been formally announced (contracts don’t go out until after the reunion airs), here’s everyone we want to come back and what each cast member has said about returning.
Carl Radke
Carl Radke is one of the two biggest questions about who’s returning to the Summer House season 9 cast, but it hasn’t been confirmed. In an interview with Decider, he explained that he was hopeful. “We’ve been through so much together, I’d like to think we can figure out a way to make something happen,” he explained.
“Personally, I’m single. I’m not 40 yet—I’m still in my 30s. I feel like I’m getting more confident in my own skin without hard partying but still being social and fun.“ He concluded: “I’d love to do it again if it made sense. I love my friends. I don’t know. There’s a lot to consider still, I guess. But some of it’s out of my control.”
Lindsay Hubbard
We’re also super curious to see if Lindsay Hubbard will return to the Summer House season 9 cast but judging by comments on Reddit, some fans don’t want her to com back. “Carl will come out the first week, Lindsay will have a ‘wedding to attend’ or something. Then the second week, Carl will be ‘visiting family’ and Lindsay will come out. Then their showdown will happen week 3,” [sic] speculated one fan on Reddit.
Another observed: “If both of their names are on the lease, he cannot break the lease until he finds someone to sublet his portion.” A third wrote, “I think they just need to find a replacement for Lindsay that will bring the drama and hooks ups and then they would be set.”
Paige DeSorbo
We’re not sure if Paige DeSorbo is returning to the Summer House season 9 cast, but fans have weighed in on what they want out of the upcoming season. “If I were the producers, I would keep West, Jesse, Gabby, and Ciara, add like four new cast members. You could have Kyle, Amanda, Carl, Lindsay, Danielle, etc. visiting on random weekends, but the core of the show needs to be younger and more fun in future seasons,” one said on Reddit.
“And, yes, I included, ‘more fun.’ Watching Amanda and Paige not want to go out and just stay in bed is relatable, but also just not what a “Summer House” reality show should be about.” Another commented: ” i like the ciara and west flirtation, and paige is still fun and funny. idk, i think it’s doable without lindsay. [sic]”
Kyle Cooke
Fans have some strong feelings about whether Kyle should return to the Summer House season 9 cast. “Didn’t Carl refer to ‘next summer’ on WWHL? I thought that sounded so weird. I kind of feel like they’ve both aged out. Kyle kinda too, but at least he is aware that summer is supposed to be fun,” wrote one.
Another disagreed, saying, “There is no summer house without Kyle 😂 he is the house. He will never age out,” while someone else said: “Kyle has the necessary house dad energy while also being fun himself in my opinion.”
Ciara Miller
Ciara Miller is a fan favorite to return to the Summer House season 9 cast but given her popularity, it seems likely. “Ciara was a real pain in the beginning. I wasn’t sure if she would work out here but I really like her now. She’s smart, beautiful and finally getting used to living in NY and looking for Mr. Right. She has a penchant for awful men so let’s fix her up with decent men this next season!” wrote one on Reddit. Another wrote, “Just keep watching for West and Ciara.”
Amanda Batula
The question of whether Amanda should return to Summer House season 9 is an interesting one according to fans. “Kyle and Amanda are over each other. Should have never married. They need to go,” argued one on Reddit. “i think the kyle/amanda fighting is not very interesting but the two of them are good at moving everyone else’s storylines along,” said another.
West Wilson
“I wouldn’t be surprised with the addition of West and Jessie that they move on from the OGs. Maybe they will just be rotating members this next season. I think they just need to find a replacement for Lindsay that will bring the drama and hooks ups and then they would be set,” wrote another.
Danielle Olivera
Fans speculate that Danielle Olivera will be back for Summer House season 9. “I thought it was interesting how he said something about next summer he and Danielle will talk more, so it sounds like he’s counting on coming back,” wrote one fan on Reddit. “Lindsay can be a good ‘villain’ for reality TV, but I think she’s aged out of the house. Same with Danielle. I wouldn’t hate a show that’s not housewives, about women in NYC,” speculated another.
“Danielle has been unhinged/becomes activated when she drinks too much since day 1. She’s a predator looking to get laid. Then she resents the person she sleeps with because they hate her being a stage five clinger. She pretends to want a one night stand then gets furious when that’s all they wanted her for. She needs to stop drinking and go talk to a professional. Nightmare on two shows Winter/Summer House. Adios Danielle,” said one impassioned viewer.
Gabby Prescod
There’s not a whole lot about Gabby’s return for the Summer House season 9 cast on Reddit, but some have weighed in. “I feel like Lindsay would want to come back, but only if Gabby were there,” said one. “I think Danielle and Gabby have been the most irrelevant this season, so I’d imagine they both have a chance of not coming back,” said another, to which someone replied, “Keep gabby, ditch danielle lol.”
Another wrote, “I think Gabby seems like a great person, but the more I watch this show, the more I think she’s a bad fit. Just like Amit, Alex, etc., she just seems to fade into the background and isn’t compelling television.”
Jesse Solomon
Jesse was introduced in season 8, so it’s likely he’ll return to the Summer House cast in season 9 but he’s been a divisive figure. “Jesse may pale in comparison to Wes but he’s still better than any of the forgettable men from the last few seasons,” wrote one fan on Reddit. “I get it-he’s tall and handsome but his attractiveness level tanks when he opens his mouth,” another wrote.
As to whether he’ll return, he told ET: “I hope to see everyone. Everybody is amazing. We had a blast, and I would love to do it again with all of them. Listen, I’m not the authority on engaged couples breaking up and continuing to summer in the Hamptons,” he added. “But if anybody could do it, you know, they were friends before. They’ve seen each other date other people. So, hopefully, they could do it again.”
