As she also spoke out about Lindsay’s potential return for season 10, Paige DeSorbo‘s split from Craig Conover, 36, and Jesse Solomon‘s rumored hookup with Erika Jayne, 53, on Watch What Happens Live, Amanda, 33, offered an update on her plans for a family with Kyle Cooke, 42, and reacted to Carl Radke, 40, admitting that he missed his friendship with Lindsay, 38.
“Once [Lindsay and Turner] had the baby … I think the biggest issue at that point wasn’t that Turner was private. It was that he also wanted Gemma to be private, and they sort of disagreed on that,” Amanda explained during a June 4 interview with Us Weekly. “[Turner] didn’t have to be on the show, but like, you know, be a part of her Instagram Stories [and] be a part of her behind-the-scenes stuff.”
According to Amanda, she “could understand how big of a struggle” it was for Lindsay to keep so much from her fans, especially when it came to the “exciting part” of her life.
As for whether Lindsay will return to filming in the Hamptons this summer, Amanda vowed, “Lindsay is not leaving our TV screens.”
“Even if she breaks into the house, she will make her way onto our TV screens,” she stated. “She’s definitely gonna be there [but] Gemma should not come because Kyle’s music and antics are not as safe for babies … [And] we haven’t baby proofed the house.”
Amanda also discussed Lindsay and Turner on the June 4 episode of WWHL, confirming she was surprised by the news of their breakup and noting that everyone seemed to be in the dark except Gabby Prescod, 35.
“They are making it work, and whatever works for Lindsay, I’m happy. So I’m happy he’s still like a part of her life and there’s a friendship there and they’re still working on it,” Amanda said.
Moving on to Paige, 32, and Craig, Amanda said that her covering up his lies “[made] sense.”
“Like he said, he’s a storyteller,” she noted.
While Jesse, 31, and Erika have remained tight-lipped about their potential hookup, Amanda said she “definitely” believes the rumors.
“It’s Jesse Solomon,” she declared. “[And] I think you know, whatever makes Erika Jayne happy. If she saw Jesse, and she said, ’That’s my guy,’ then power to her.”
Looking to her future, Amanda said that while she and Kyle don’t have kids yet, Kyle absolutely “wants to be a dad.”
“It’s something we always talked about. I just, I think he’s having a little bit of a midlife crisis with all the DJing,” she suspected. “I thought [that] dating an older man, he’d be a little ahead of the game.”
When asked about which former cast member she wanted to return to Summer House, Amanda named Mya Allen, 33.
“I love Mya. I’ve been keeping up with all of her cooking stuff, too. I miss her,” she shared. “She was a breath of fresh air in the house, too. She was fun to have around.”
As the live broadcast came to an end, Amanda shared her rose and thorn of season nine.
“My rose would be launching my swim line … [and] my thorn of the whole summer was Kyle fighting with Paige,” she revealed. “That put a real damper on my relationship, even like awkwardness with Paige and I and the whole Craig thing, that was rough for me. But other than that, it was a great summer.”
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Amanda reacted to how emotional Carl got when discussing how he missed his friendship with Lindsay, admitting that she “wasn’t surprised.”
“Carl has had so much love for Lindsay,” she explained. “He depended on her. He moved into her apartment building at one point because she was such a safe space for him. So I’m not shocked at all that he missed that. And I know, whatever everyone thinks, [about him] ending the relationship, [but that] was not an easy decision for him to make because he does have so much love for her.”
As for their future, Amanda added, “I hope that one day they can reconnect, but I think that’s gonna be on Lindsay’s terms, and if that’s not what’s healthy and right for her, then that’s it.”
