Imrul Hassan meant to use his platform on Summer House for good. The fledgling Bravolebrity wanted to bring awareness to the English school that he funds in his hometown in Bangladesh. Instead, the real estate broker become the cast “Orgy Beast.”
At the Season 9 Summer House reunion, it felt that the newbie cast member was brought on to corroborate Jesse Solomon’s participation in Imrul’s threesome. Surely, host Andy Cohen could have opened the conversation to Imrul’s vision for the children in his school. Now, he’s calling out editing for cutting certain scenes out of the season entirely.
Imrul Hassan found his Summer House edit “so disrespectful”
Imrul shared his perspective on the June 27 episode of the Taylor Taylor Taylor Show podcast. Certainly, reality TV stars are not guaranteed a positive edit.
“There’s so much that gets filmed and it doesn’t make the edit because there’s so much that we’re filming throughout the season,” the Summer House alum stated.
However, Imrul feels that his edits went beyond the norm. He shared, “I was super excited about and they cut that out.”
“But I’ve never seen — and I’ve talked to some of the people on the show as well — someone just getting edited out of a whole dinner scene,” the reality TV star said of the conversation.
At the time of filming, matters weren’t as clear. Imrul admitted that he didn’t voice concerns at the time as he “tried to be respectful to the show and the process.” Despite that skepticism, Imrul didn’t get “the worst edit.” Not by far.
“There was some fault on my own too. I wasn’t as engaging as I wanted to be and whatever,” he explained. “Things that happened through the season.”
Producers “weren’t quite sure” how to incorporate Imrul
Ultimately, after watching the season, Imrul felt that production “just shut me out.” He stated of the last episodes, “You can still see my shadow in some of them — you know and there’s obviously cast photos from the weekend where I’m clearly there, that felt so disrespectful. I don’t know if I can get over that. It’s definitely messed up.”
Imrul suggested that production “weren’t quite sure what to do with me.”
“One of the calls I got from — the last calls I got from — the producers was, like, ‘Listen, we hate to call somebody part-time you know that’s but like we’re trying to figure out what to do with you,’” Imrul revealed.
Imrul is not returning to Summer House.
