Sutton Stracke Reveals Why Tinsley Mortimer "Hit The Jackpot" in Marriage to Robert Bovard
Tinsley Mortimer is "forever" grateful for her husband, Robert Bovard, for bringing joy into her life. The Real Housewives of New York City alum has been married to the Georgia businessman for one year, is now living in Augusta, and is finding all of the reasons to smile — especially now that she is a stepmom to his three children.
Even The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Sutton Stracke, who is an Augusta native, can see the joy in Tinsley. Sutton spoke to The Daily Dish in December 2024, where she revealed that she has crossed paths with Tinsley and Robert in Georgia, especially since Tinsley's husband is friends with Sutton's "friends that are older" than her in Georgia.
"I think she is very happy there and I was really happy for her," Sutton admitted of Tinsley. "I saw her with his children. I think she kind of hit the jackpot. He's a good guy and well respected in the community. I mean, she fits right in. I'm happy to hear she's doing well."

Robert is the president and owner of Iron and Steel Works Inc., according to Town & Country. He is also the father of three children from his first marriage.
How did Tinsley Mortimer meet husband Robert Bovard?
Tinsley and Robert first met in 2021, according to Town & Country. They were both attending the wedding of Tinsley's cousin, Robert Mercer (who ended up serving as the officiant at their own 2023 wedding in Palm Beach, Florida.)
However, Tinsley and Robert didn't speak to each other until the night after the wedding, when they gathered at a restaurant to watch a baseball game, according to The New York Times.
"It was probably easy for me to talk to her because I didn't expect she'd have any interest in a guy from a small town in Georgia," he admitted to the publication.
But, they did talk and hit it off immediately. After traveling across the United States to go on dates, by August 2022, Tinsley had moved to Augusta to be with Robert, and they got engaged during Christmas that year.
Before her wedding, she took to her Instagram Story, where she posted a series of photos of her, Robert, and the three kids on vacation, where they had so much fun.

Tinsley and Robert tied the knot a year later on Nov. 11, 2023 ceremony in Palm Beach Florida, which is the first place where they exchanged "I love you"s, according to The New York Times.
"My wedding day was truly perfect in every way," Tinsley told Town & Country.

Tinsley could not be happier in this marriage. "I feel like this relationship, I've been given this second chance to start over from all the other relationships I had," she told The New York Times. "I feel like I'm 20 some again and I'm meeting this guy. And the way that I interact is a little bit awkward and dorky."
Although Tinsley lives a much more private life now in Georgia as a stepmom, she has emerged on Instagram to open up about her life today. In January 2024, Tinsley took to Instagram where she talked about how she's able to work out while taking care of the kids.
"Now that I'm a stepmom of three, my mornings are too busy to work out!" she wrote. "I usually have time in the afternoon to get active and destress while the kids are at school. I like to keep it simple and jog in the neighborhood or workout outside at home."
She also took to Instagram in November 2024, where she celebrated a year of being married to Robert. "What a blast this year has been!!!" she wrote in the caption of the post, which was filled with sweet photos and videos from their first year of marriage. "I will FOREVER be grateful to you for bringing all this joy to my life...you are the most amazing husband and father! We just adore you!!! XXO T."
