After opening up about her fertility journey on Married to Medicine, Lateasha "Sweet Tea" Lunceford had some updates to share about starting a family with Dr. Gregory Lunceford during the Season 11 reunion.
How to Watch
Watch Married to Medicine Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo and streaming on Peacock and Bravo.
"Recently, I went through the IUI, the intrauterine insemination, and I had two failed attempts," Sweet Tea told host Andy Cohen during Married to Medicine's Reunion Part 2, which was filmed on February 13 in New York City. "And I am up for my consultation for the IVF in March."
Unlike her husband’s ex-wife, Quad Webb, who previously announced she's going through IVF, Sweet Tea is not working with OB/GYN Dr. Jackie Walters, though.
Sweet Tea reacts to Dr. Gregory's "deadline" for having children
Addressing Dr. Gregory's two-year "deadline for giving him a baby" seen earlier in the season, Andy observed that Sweet Tea "seemed heartbroken" during their conversation.
"Yes, initially I was, because he was saying, as far as the two years, that he wants to try other routes," she admitted. "I have endometriosis, but it does not mean that I can't have kids. It just means that I may have difficulties here and there. But, you know, it can happen."
After she pointed out that Greg is 56 years old, Dr. Simone Whitmore chimed in that she could see his point. "As you're aging, it becomes more difficult to keep up with the children," the OB-GYN noted, citing Greg and Sweet Tea's 24-year age gap. "I could understand him not wanting to be at a high school graduation at 80. That's all I'm sayin'."
Sweet Tea, for her part, replied, "I do understand that."
Lateasha "Sweet Tea" Lunceford opens up about her relationship with Dr. Gregory
In January, Sweet Tea opened up to The Daily Dish about her relationship with Dr. Gregory, noting the two were "getting geared up for our baby journey with IVF."
Discussing their differing love languages, she noted, "I really like to see the love, you know... If I'm going through something or need something, and you come up like a superhero and help me with that, that's my love language."
As for her husband, "His [love language] is physical touch," she continued. "So you know, all I gotta do is rub on his hand and he is good."
As you await Married to Medicine’s Reunion Part 3, which airs on Sunday, April 6, revisit everything Sweet Tea spilled to The Daily Dish about her "baby journey" with Dr. Greg.
