Tamra Judge gave insight into her “Real Housewives of Orange County” season 19 status after announcing her departure in a March 9 Instagram Story.
“I think I just hit a wall. There’s so much going on in my life, I don’t know,” she told “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Dolores Catania on the March 12 episode of “Two Ts in a Pod.”
Judge said that between therapy and her friend Teddi Mellencamp’s brain tumor diagnosis, as well as “other personal things,” she’s been feeling overwhelmed. “I feel like I’m in a full depressed mode.
A talk with Mellencamp made Judge change her mind about quitting “RHOC.” The longtime housewife said, “Teddi gave me a pep talk and that is like the first time I’ve laughed in so long.”
“She just yelled at me and said, ‘Listen to me, I have to be bald and fat right now and going through this. You get your [expletive] back over there.’ I just started laughing,” Judge shared. “I just need to pull it together.” Catania told her, “I think you’ve got a lot in you. Everybody wants to see you back.”
Judge added, “I am just going to power through this. We’re going to get [it] done … I’ll be fine. Just need to take some time and straighten my head out.”
‘RHOC’ Fans Offered Sympathy For Judge’s Emotional Struggles
Judge posted a clip on Instagram of her latest “Two Ts in a Pod” episode where she tearfully admitted she had been struggling with her mental health and fans showed the housewife support.
“[Tamra] please don’t leave the show. I can only imagine how difficult everything must be right now for you but you do have a huge family that loves you and we miss you when you’re not on the show. We love you Tamara!! You are in our thoughts and prayers,” a “RHOC” viewer replied.
Another wrote, “Sending you love and positive vibes Tamra. I love watching you on RHOC. I hope you stick it out.”
One encouraged Judge, “[I] am in tears! I feel you SO much! Despite all the haters there are so many of us out here who love you SO much! [Take] the time you need.”
Later that night, Judge looked to be in better spirits and tweeted a picture of her and Mellencamp together. “Back with my Teddi Jo, and suddenly, everything makes sense again,” she wrote.
‘RHOC’ Cast Members Are Being Understanding Toward Judge: Report
Amid rumors of Judge’s argument with cast members while filming “RHOC” season 19, a source told The U.S. Sun, “Tamra is in a more volatile state right now because of Teddi’s condition, that’s no secret.”
The insider added, “Some of the cast members have a lot of compassion for her and understand her best friend is going through something so unbelievably excruciating which in turn has been a heavy, heavy weight for Tamra.”
However, the source also admitted that some cast members think Judge is using Mellencamp as an excuse for her actions and told The U.S. Sun, “Her overreaction, according to her, is a mix of also having a difficult time processing what is going on with Teddi. Tamra is very sensitive right now.”
“They understand there’s a lot of layers going on with her right now and if she does decide to come back, which it already sounds like she wants to, then they’ll allow it,” the source said.
