What The Last Of Us Season 2 Character Posters Means For The Show
They Showcase New & Returning Characters
The most important new characters are Abby, a soldier seeking revenge for the death of a loved one, and Dina, Ellie's love interest who will be introduced in season 2, while Jesse is Dina's ex. Jeffrey Wright reprises his role from The Last of Us Part II as Isaac Dixon, the leader of a militia group. While these four new characters are all from the video game, Gail is an entirely new character created for the show who acts as Joel's therapist in Jackson.

Why They're A Great Sign
The Last of Us season 2 character posters recreating key imagery from the video game is an indication of how faithful and respectful of its source material the HBO show will continue to be. Just like in season 1, the show should continue to expand, and frankly improve on the video game when necessary, such as introducing a new character like Gail. These stunning character posters are just the latest indication that The Last of Us season 2 will not only continue staying true to its roots, but push the boundaries of its storytelling to new and exciting heights.
