Tһe Lаѕt of Uѕ ѕtаr һypeѕ up ѕeаѕon 2: “It’ѕ gonnа f*ck people up”

The Last of Us season 2 star Danny Ramirez (Manny) promises what people who have played the video games already know: the second season of The Last of Us will destroy people.

The Last of Us season 1 was one of the standout shows of the last few years. And we're just a few months away from season 2 hitting our screens. Prepare for even more action and heartbreak. But don't just take it from me; newcomer Danny Ramirez — who plays a soldier named Manny Alvarez — has already seen footage he thinks will "f*ck people up.”

Season 1 of The Last of Us was pretty much a direct adaptation of Naughty Dog's first The Last of Us game. Starring Pedro Pascal as protagonist Joel Miller and Bella Ramsey as the young Ellie, the season perfectly captured the emotional beats of the zombie adventure game while building on the original source material with additional stories, like an episode exploring Bill and Frank's journey in more detail.

Looking ahead to season 2, the show will immediately jump into covering Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part II, a game with a significantly larger story. The game contains many of the franchise's most iconic (and infamous) moments. In case you're not aware, we won't dive into spoiler territory, but let it be known that you'll need a box of tissues next to you while you're watching the new episodes.

Speaking of the moments ahead, newcomer Danny Ramirez has revealed that he's already witnessed a couple of scenes, and he's super excited to see how audiences react. “I saw some clips in ADR," he told Empire. "It's gonna f*ck people up. It's so good." If you don't know what ADR is, it stands for 'automated dialogue replacement,' and it's the process where actors re-record their lines in a studio to provide better clarity onscreen.

The new season will introduce key character Abby (Kaitlyn Dever), who holds a grudge after the events of season 1. She's been pretty central to the marketing of season 2. Without giving away spoilers, we can easily imagine some of the scenes she's involved in f*cking people up.
