Teddi Mellencamp clapped back at Dorit Kemsley after she claimed on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that she and Teddi weren’t “close friends.” The alum also praised Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne for defending her, and she revealed her past text to Dorit after things went “askew.”

In a recent episode, Dorit claimed she and Teddi were friends but not “close friends.” But Kyle later pointed out that Dorit reposted Teddi’s video of herself, Dorit, and other friends as they danced onstage with Teddi’s dad John Mellencamp. According to Kyle, this proved the two were close.
In a recent Instagram post, Teddi shared a July video of herself partying for her birthday on a boat with several people — including Dorit.
“Celebrating my birthday with my ‘not close friends’ in Mexico,” wrote Teddi over the video, throwing shade at Dorit.
To make matters worse, she tagged Dorit at the top of the screen.

In another post, Teddi shared an interview of Kyle and Erika defending Teddi’s friendship with Dorit.
In the clip, Erika on the RHOBH: After Show speculated that Dorit reposted the video because she looked good in it. Kyle theorized that she posted it both because she looked good and because she was with John Mellencamp.
Kyle reiterated that the post proved that Dorit and Teddi were good friends, as Dorit was on a ‘girls’ trip’ with Teddi at the time. Erika confirmed that Dorit and Teddi are indeed “friends.”
Kyle and Erika also defended Teddi, claiming she’s different than fans’ negative perceptions.
“❤️❤️❤️ you @KyleRichards18 [and Erika],” wrote Teddi over the clip. “Thank you to everyone and their mother for sending this to me. 🤣 Don’t worry we will get into all the things today on [my podcast].”

On her Two Ts In A Pod podcast, Teddi was asked if she and Dorit are actually good friends.
“At this moment, no,” Teddi said, via @breakingtherulespodclips on Instagram. “But let’s go back in time to [after her home invasion] … I was one of the first people that she called when her house was broken into. And I was there within five minutes the next day.”
Teddi suggested that they’re no longer close because they both made less effort to see each other. But she claimed the “Fox Force 5” friendship group was once “very close,” and they all texted “a million times a day.”
“Things started to get a little askew I think the year after I was fired [from RHOBH],” she explained. “She said something sh**ty about me at BravoCon … about who’s the worst dressed.”
Teddi recalled, “I wrote on the Fox Force 5 [group chat], ‘Hey, Dorit, you don’t need to hit me when I’m down … Why do you gotta s**t-talk me on my dress? Like, I was on the fashion panel with you.'”
