Teddi Mellencamp Dishes on Awkward Flight Run-In With Jax Taylor, Says The Valley Star Complained About Not Being in First Class, and Shades His Finances

Teddi Mellencamp revealed her strange interaction with Jax Taylor on a recent flight when he allegedly “complain[ed]” to a flight attendant that he wasn’t in “first class” after he saw Teddi and “panicked.”

On the current season of The Valley, Jax’s estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, claimed he failed to pay their mortgage and his taxes while she was living in Airbnbs before she filed for divorce. But according to Jax, they worked out a payment schedule, and everything’s fine.

On her Two T’s In A Pod podcast, Teddi addressed her recent interaction with Jax.

“Jax Taylor was on my flight!” said Teddi.

Co-host Tamra Judge asked if he was in first class.

“No,” said Teddi. “And I can’t even help myself, but I look up and I see him and I go, ‘Oh God, Jax Taylor.’ Right as he passes by me, he starts complaining to the flight attendant that he isn’t in first class.”

“And I was like, buddy, from what I’ve been watching, you shouldn’t be spending that extra money even on Delta first class,” she added.

Tamra asked if he said it to “make a big deal” and pretend like the airline “made a mistake” with his ticket.

“I think so,” Teddi answered. “I think he saw me, and he panicked that I was going to talk about it. So what do I do? … [I remember] on the pod to talk about it.”

Back in May, on The Valley: After Show, Brittany discussed her housing situation.

“I moved out January 24th of 2024, and [Jax] stopped paying [our mortgage] in February,” she shared at the time. “I’ll never forgive him … Because of his ego and everything, [he said,] ‘I’m not moving out. This is my house.’ And then he just completely stopped paying all the bills. And then was yelling at me, saying, ‘You don’t pay the bills here’ … The whole time, I could have been paying the mortgage. Instead, I spent over $100,000 on rental homes.”

“He did the same thing with his taxes for years,” she went on. “He didn’t pay. He just figures it’s just going to go away. My mortgage used to be around $8,000. I pay $18,000 now because of his taxes.”
