Teddi Mellencamp has revealed doctors found five more tumors as she continues her cancer battle.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, shared a health update via her Instagram on Thursday, March 6.
Update from my scans today: I have 3 more tumors in my brain and 2 tumors on my lungs. These are all a direct result of my melanoma,” she wrote.
Mellencamp added that she will be attempting to have these removed, and was feeling optimistic about the outcome.
The doctors are hopeful that these additional mutations will be removed via immunotherapy. That begins Tuesday at 11AM,” she continued. “I am feeling positive and excited— that I will beat these tumors, that I got this wig (I like the short hair, just not the bald spots), and that I can remember all of Angelina’s kids’ names.”
She summed up: “Now, as @bravoandy would say: with all due… f— off, cancer!”
Mellencamp shared via Instagram on February 12 that she had been suffering from “severe and debilitating headaches” for weeks, and one day earlier, “the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization.”
After getting a CT scan and an MRI, Mellencamp explained that “doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least six months.”
Mellencamp revealed that two of the tumors would be “surgically removed” that day, while the “remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.”
One day after the operation, Mellencamp’s estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, shared an update on her condition via his Instagram Story. (Mellencamp announced her split from Arroyave, 47, in November 2024. The estranged couple are parents of Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4; she is also the stepmother of Arroyave’s eldest daughter, Isabella.)
“So many people asking for updates. All I will say right now is surgery went well,” he wrote on February 13. “That said, I’ve never seen [Mellencamp] in so much pain. She’s finally getting some needed rest. I know she is so grateful for the outpouring of love.”
After returning home to recover from her brain surgery, Mellencamp shared a post via Instagram thanking her medical team.
“I am grateful for the incredible surgeons, doctors and nurses who made my surgery a success and my recovery process more comfortable,” Mellencamp wrote on Wednesday, February 26. “In full transparency, more tumors were removed than expected: 4 in total. This fight is not over, but that round has been won.”
She went on to thank her family, friends and followers for “the outpouring” of support, adding the messages are “Definitely helping me stay strong.”
