Teddi Mellencamp Reveals Her Long-Term Plan for Cancer Treatment

Teddi Mellencamp shared some positive news amid her melanoma diagnosis, which had spread to her brain and lungs.

“So last time they had checked fully my brain and those tumors were shrinking, and then today, I had the scan where they checked my lungs and they are shrinking. And one of them has shrunk so much, you can barely even see it,” she said on the May 14 episode of “Two Ts in a Pod.”

The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star continued, “What they said was, this is good news. It means my body is responding to everything, but I do need to live on immunotherapy for the next two years.”

“So every four weeks for the next two years, I have to come in and get that done, and then every three months, I get another scan and we check to make sure that everything is where it is,” Mellencamp said.

She continued, “I thought that once the tumors started going away, so that does mean I’m cancer free? And [the doctor’s] like, ‘No.’ He’s like, ‘We will let you know when you’re in remission. But at this point, everything is just heading in the correct way.”

“It’s very good news, and I now I just to keep staying on it,” Mellencamp told Tamra Judge.

Mellencamp Keeps Her Spirits Up Despite Feeling Down at Times

Mellencamp has been open about her cancer journey since revealing her brain tumor diagnosis in February 2025.

“I’m feeling positive, but I also would say that my mood and my overall energy level shifts by the hour,” she shared with USA Today on May 8.

The mom of three added, “[There are] moments of fear and there’s moments of whatever, but as long as I’m moving my body and taking action, then I seem to be in a more positive mindset.”

On why she decided to share her health struggles with the public, Mellencamp told the publication, “I wanted to make sure that other people didn’t follow some of the same mistakes I had made by not getting certain checks and not trusting my instincts when I first started getting headaches and all those different things.”

She continued, “I wanted to make sure people were going to take action on their own health.” Mellencamp is also thankful for her support system and shared, “I’m really beyond grateful to everybody involved, because it’s pretty much been a miracle.”
