Teddi Mellencamp Reveals How She's Treating Stage 4 Brain Cancer: "It'll Get Better"

   

eddi Mellencamp is taking the next step in her cancer treatment journey by doing both immunotherapy and radiation.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, who is battling Stage 4 melanoma (which has spread to her lungs and brain), shared an update on her latest immunotherapy session on her Instagram Story on April 2. 

"Some days I feel really strong, and other days I feel really alone, and I think that's a normal part of what any of us are going through. And that's OK," Teddi candidly shared in a video she took while resting in bed and later posted on her page. "Stage 4 cancer can be scary. Yesterday was the first day I ever had to do immunotherapy and radiation on the same day. And I feel so tired and run down, but I know it's going to get better again... It will get better."

She also posted a selfie from one of her treatment sessions. 

"45 mins in here — hopefully saving my life," she wrote alongside the image.

Teddi, who shares kids Slate, Cruz, and Dove Arroyave with estranged husband Edwin Arroyave (she's also a stepmom to his daughter, Isabella), is listening to her body when it comes to taking time to rest. She's also maintaining a sense of normalcy by walking, going to workout classes when she feels up to it, and attending horse shows with Slate.

During a cover story interview with Us Weekly in March 2025, Teddi shared some insight into how her immunotherapy and radiation treatments have been going. 

"I thought I was going to feel like how I felt after my neck lift," she joked. "My reaction is always a headache, and I found out that’s good news because it means that the immunotherapy or the radiation is killing your cancer."
