Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Teddi Mellencamp is sharing a positive update following her February 12 brain surgery.
On March 8, Mellencamp took to her Instagram Stories to share she competed at Desert International Horse Park. Mellencamp showed that she received two blue ribbons for her horseback riding. She captioned the post by letting her social media followers know that she will continue to do what she loves while she receives treatment for her brain tumors.
“Dear brain tumors you tried to break my heart. You failed. I love life too much to waste more tears on you,” wrote Mellencamp.
Mellencamp also thanked horse trainers John Zambrano and Peter Lombardo “for giving [her] the support and confidence to go back in the ring today.”
In a different March 8 Instagram Story, Mellencamp said she was grateful to be able to ride her horse again. She shared a video of herself riding her horse at Desert International Horse Park.
“17 days in the hospital. First ride 4 weeks. I am so blessed. Life is good,” captioned Mellencamp.
Teddi Mellencamp Gave an Update About Her Health
After Mellencamp had emergency brain surgery, she underwent other tests. On March 6, Mellencamp shared the results from the scans with her Instagram followers.
“Update from my scans today: I have multiple tumors in my brain that weren’t able to be removed via surgery. I also have 2 tumors in my lungs. These are all metastases of my melanoma. The doctors are hopeful that immunotherapy will effectively treat them,” wrote Mellencamp in the post’s caption.
Mellencamp also shared that she is “feeling positive— that [she] will win this battle.”
Teddi Mellencamp Thanked Her Fans for Their Support
In a February 26 Instagram post, Mellencamp, who was diagnosed with Stage II Melanoma in 2022, expressed gratitude “for the incredible surgeons, doctor, and nurses who made [her brain] surgery a success and [her] recovery process comfortable.”
She also said she appreciated that her loved ones have stayed by her side amid her health issues.
“The laughter, the support, and patience of my kids, my family, and my closest friends is one gift with which words cannot properly express my gratitude,” continued Mellencamp in her Instagram post.
In addition, Mellencamp said she was grateful for fans who have shared their support for her.
“As I move on to the next steps in my treatment, I just wanted to say thank you to everybody for the outpouring of love and prayers. I see them and they’re definitely helping me stay strong,” wrote the Bravo personality.
