Teddi Mellencamp has always been pretty candid about her feelings. She’s proven that over the last year, sharing her thoughts about things have been challenging for her. And now she’s sharing her insights about being fired from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
This is just one of the many things Teddi talked about with Erika Jayne on their podcast Diamonds in the Rough. She also touched on a crazy sex-capade from her youth, her divorce, and her depression over her recent health challenges.
Teddi Mellencamp theorizes on her RHOBH exit
One of the big points of discussion though was why she felt she was fired from RHOBH. Teddi was on the show for three seasons, but now, she admits that she felt she lost her job as early as her second season.
I think I lost my job season two,” Teddi said.
“I do too,” Erika agreed.
To be fair, Teddi was pretty calm about it which alludes to the fact that she’s come to terms with what happened even if it wasn’t what she wanted. Right before her time on the show ended, Teddi admitted to contacting the producers. She confessed she felt she was constantly being shown in a negative capacity and needed them to showcase her in life in a different light.
She was let go a couple of weeks after that conversation.
“I think I lost my job season two and they kept me around for season three and I became a nothing burger and then that was the end,” Teddi explained. She cheekily added, “And you can do the math on what happened on Season 2 and figure that out.”
However, despite leaving, Teddi has never been far from RHOBH. She’s appeared on the show and she’s still friends with some of the ladies. Could a comeback be possible now? Perhaps on the heels of Garcelle Beauvais’ exit? Teddi’s being coy about it for now and focusing on her health and living her life.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is available to stream on Peacock. The show streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
