Teddi Mellencamp appears to have a new man in her life. The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star was recently photographed getting close to a mystery man during a sunny outing in Encino, California.
A New Romance During a Difficult Time
Mellencamp, 43, looked happy and relaxed during the weekend stroll. She smiled as the unidentified man wrapped his arms around her and planted a gentle kiss on her cheek. At another point, he adjusted her baseball cap affectionately while the reality star remained all smiles amid her ongoing battle with stage 4 cancer.
A source told the Daily Mail that Mellencamp is “dating him” and is “very happy.” However, her team has not responded to media inquiries for comment.
Dressed in a pink sports bra under an olive green jacket and navy joggers, Mellencamp coordinated her look with matching sneakers and a cap. Her rumored beau sported a tight white T-shirt, black joggers, and sunglasses, showcasing an array of tattoos.
Navigating Cancer, Divorce and New Beginnings
Mellencamp, daughter of musician John Mellencamp, was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in October 2022. Despite undergoing over a dozen surgeries, she was declared cancer-free in January 2024. That November, she filed for divorce from Edwin Arroyave, with whom she shares three children: Slate, 12; Cruz, 10; and Dove, 5.
As previously reported by Page Six, the split followed rumors of an affair with a then-married horse trainer. While the marriage was ending, Arroyave continued to support Mellencamp through her health struggles, even moving back in temporarily to help during her recovery.
Things took a turn in early 2025, when Mellencamp was rushed in for an emergency MRI after experiencing severe headaches. Doctors found multiple tumors in her brain and lungs, advancing her cancer to stage 4.
She addressed the shocking update on Instagram: “It’s been 76 days since I went to the ER with unbearable headaches and quickly found out I had multiple stage 4 tumors, the size of plums in my brain and lungs.”
“Melanoma had metastasized there and been there for ‘6 months to a year’ and we had no clue,” she wrote. “Since that day, I have had multiple surgeries, had rage from the steroids, felt very sick, laughed a ton, ridden horses, loved on my kids and felt great.”
Despite the physical and emotional toll, Mellencamp recently shared hopeful news: her tumors have “either shrunk or vanished,” and she has just two sessions of immunotherapy left. “Hopefully [I will be] done and cancer-free,” she shared in the emotional update.
