Teddi Mellencamp Won’t ‘Confirm or Deny Anything’ After Affair Controversy Breaks
Teddi Mellencamp has finally addressed the affair. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been the talk of the town as of late. She probably felt she had no other choice but to make a statement.
For those who missed it, news recently broke of Teddi’s extramarital affair with her horse trainer. The news broke without confirmation but has since been confirmed by multiple outlets. Teddi initially broke her silence with a nothing burger of an Instagram post.
In the post, Teddi wrote, “When you’re being pushed into the shadows always find your light.” She disabled comments. She must’ve realized the post didn’t really serve anyone, so, she gave a fuller response shortly thereafter.
Teddi Mellencamp on her affair: “There’s multiple sides to every story”
On the November 14 episode of Two Ts In A Pod, Teddi knew she had to address the elephant in the room. “I’m sure everyone has seen everything all over the World Wide Web,” she began. “What I can say … there’s multiple sides to every story.”
She continued, “I’m not going to confirm or deny anything.” Of course. She then reiterated previous statements. “I once again say the same statement I said before: The kids, they’re the priority.” Teddi concluded the matter by saying, “For the time being that’s all I’m going to discuss on this.”
Previously, Teddi explained she didn’t want to discuss the details of her divorce for the kids’ sake. As she put it, “I just am trying – I don’t even know how to say this eloquently – but I am just trying my hardest to make sure that my kids’ privacy is protected right now.”
As for those who might call her a hypocrite, Teddi said, “When it does come to this and children, I think there’s room to give it [grace].” She added, “It’s a little bit different than what we’re getting into [on the podcast].”
