When fans of Ryan Seacrest’s weekly Top 40 radio countdown tune in to hear the penultimate host during the 2025 Fourth of July holiday weekend, they won’t find him counting down the hits. Instead, they’ll hear rising pop star and “American Idol” alum Haven Madison.
That’s because the season 21 “American Idol” finalist is about to replace Seacrest at the mic, at least for the weekend. Madison, 19, has been basking in the glow of her first top 40 hit, “Castle,” including amazing opportunities like the chance to fill in for Seacrest on his nationwide countdown on July 5 and 6, 2025.
Ryan Seacrest’s Top 40 Countdown Says Haven Madison’s Having a ‘Full Circle’ Moment
The nationally syndicated radio show announced Madison’s hosting duties by posting, “#HavenMadison is having a full circle moment 🎤She was a Season 21 #AmericanIdol contestant (a little show that that @ryanseacrest hosts 😌) and now she’s taking the golden mic from him as this week’s guest host of #AmericanTop40! 🎙️Tune in all weekend long to hear Haven answer all your questions and count us down to the top song of the week 🎶”
Madison also posted a cute video of herself in the radio studios, seen above, which generated hundreds of supportive comments from fans. Madison can be heard filling in for Seacrest on iHeartRadio stations, the iHeartRadio app, or on the countdown’s website.
After landing in the top 8 of “American Idol” in 2023, Madison signed a record deal later that year with 19 Recordings, the record label partner of “American Idol.” She has been pounding the pavement ever since, writing, recording and performing new music.
In May, when “Castle” became one of the most-added songs on Top 40 radio stations across the nation, Madison shared the news in an emotional video from her car, crying tears of joy and admitting how hard the road had been to get there.
“I have been pursuing music my entire life,” Madison said, noting that she tried out for “American Idol” when she was 16. “I signed a record deal when I was 17, and I have been working so hard.”
Haven Madison Just Announced New Tour
After hosting “American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest,” Madison’s got other big plans including going on tour.
She announced on June 30 that she’ll open for Stacey Ryan on nearly 30 dates across the U.S. in September and October on Ryan’s “Blessing in Disguise” tour.
Sharing a post about the news, Madison wrote, “Pinch me cause I’m going on tour again 👼🏼💌💫” and Ryan wrote, “so excited to have you on the road my girl!!”
