After months of speculation, a Teen Mom: The Next Chapter cast member has confirmed that the long-running MTV series is over. Fans have grown tired of redundant and boring storylines, plus they think some of the cast should be canned. So, who broke this big news, and do they have a reason? Keep reading for more details.
It has been floating around for some time that Teen Mom: The Next Chapter had been canceled. The hit MTV series has been around for years and has seen many evolutions. More so, the cast has changed, but it has always been exciting to watch the kids grow up. Viewers have watched many since they were in the womb, so to have them as teenagers themselves is mindblowing. There have also been some cast members who have truly grown up like Ryan Edwards. He was headed down a bad path, and now he has his head on straight and is a happy father and fiancé.
At the same time, some of the storylines are just not exciting anymore, and show stars like Amber Portwood have driven fans crazy. It was alleged that the show was not supposed to last past sixteen years, and once the babies hit that age, it was over. Briana DeJesus’s sister, Brittany, recently filmed something for TikTok where she was breaking down. She claimed that her life was unstable and that she was struggling, so someone questioned if it was about money.
They then asked if Briana would be willing to help her sister, and Brittany clapped back:
Brittany has since deleted the comment regarding Teen Mom, but fans still picked up on it. She likely realized that this information was not public knowledge, so she had to get rid of it. Regardless, it is now out in the public sphere, and it further confirms fans’ fears.
As much as viewers knew that Teen Mom was nearing the end, it was still hard to deal with. The last season ended with Cheyenne Floyd revealing she was pregnant again. Plus, Mackenzie McKee was expecting twins, who arrived in early June 2025. It felt like there were still a few more storylines that could be pulled, but sadly, that won’t be happening. Once Brittany spilled the beans, longtime show fans immediately reacted:
No one seemed all that shocked or even cared. The biggest issue fans could see was the cast finding a way to make money, as this had become their sole income. Hopefully, they will all keep followers updated with their lives in one way or another.
