Teen Mom star Mackenzie McKee welcomed twin girls on June 2nd, 2025, with her husband, Khesanio Hall. Yet, she has been struggling to tell them apart and has now come up with a creative way to do so. What is Mackenzie’s plan for the twins? Keep reading for more details.
Mackenzie McKee Shares Creative Way To Tell Twins Apart
When Mackenzie McKee and her now husband, Khesanio Hall, decided they wanted to have a baby, they had to take special steps. The Teen Mom star was already a mom to three children and had a tubal ligation. Her deliveries were hard, and she is also a diabetic, so IVF was the best option for her. They had four embryos and implanted two, knowing they could have zero or four children. The two embryos could split, therefore creating quadruplets. Regardless, they were ready for the ride, and as seen on the hit MTV show, they found out they were having twin girls.

Mackenzie made it to 31 weeks, but her preeclampsia was extremely severe, so her girls were delivered via C-section. She and Khesanio welcomed Ja’Kharie Angie and Ja’Meikah Angella into the world on June 2nd and have felt blessed ever since. Mackenzie shared how she will tell them apart, and it is very creative. She stated that she has a two-color theme, pink and purple, with Ja’Meikah getting pink and Ja’Kharie rocking purple.
Mackenzie even noted that they will paint the girls’ toenails to further tell them apart.
These colors are the theme for their nursery and onesies that the Teen Mom star purchased, so she is keeping it on trend. However, telling the twins apart has fortunately gotten easier based on their hair. That is where the girls are truly different, but it was not always that simple. Another big adjustment is having a preemie and grabbing all of the necessary items. This is new territory for Mackenzie has never had a premie, but she is taking it all in stride.
Fans Love The Idea
After Mackenzie McKee explained what she and Khesanio Hall were doing to tell the girls apart, Teen Mom fans quickly chimed in. Some could not get over the names that the couple chose for their babies, while others reminded them that Khesanio is Jamaican. Therefore, they are just fine and beautiful names. Now, a few followers shared that they also had twins and did the exact same thing:
- Identical twin mom here!! I did the same thing- pink and purple!!! Go to Etsy and buy crochet little anklets!! Mine were 33 weekers! Any questions reach out!! Us twin mamas need to stick together!!
- I did the same colors with my twins girls.. Tyra and Jyra
- My mom was an identical twin. Her mom got them anklets, but when they were 4 they would switch them to make her confused and mad 😂
It will be exciting to see the twins with their new color schemes and how adorable they look in pink and purple. Finally, it will be a beautiful day when they come home, and the family is complete. For now, Mackenzie is getting everything ready to roll and is having fun while doing so.
