“Teen Mom” star Amber Portwood is reportedly engaged to her boyfriend, Gary.
A source close to Portwood told Us Weekly on Friday that the MTV personality is “really happy” after accepting a proposal from her beau within the last two weeks.
According to the outlet, Gary — whose last name is unknown — popped the question with a ring crafted with a “family stone,” making the sentimental piece of jewelry even more significant.
The insider also shared that the Indiana-based couple is preparing for marriage by going to couple’s therapy.
“They’ve been in couple’s therapy and talk about everything,” the source explained. “They’re being very proactive in their relationship and are doing the work to prevent problems before they start.”
A rep for Portwood did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
In January, Us Weekly reported that Portwood, 34, began dating Gary — who is purportedly in his late 30s without children of his own — after meeting him through a dating app in 2023.
It’s been said that Gary’s disinterest in Portwood’s reality TV fame facilitated space for their romance to flourish.
“This new man in her life has actually never seen ‘Teen Mom’ so she feels she can finally date in the way she’s always wanted to,” a source previously told Us Weekly.
The “16 & Pregnant” alum shares daughter Leah, 15, with ex Gary Shirley, whom she maintained a relationship with from 2008 until 2011.
While Shirley has full custody of Leah, the pair amicably co-parents their teenager.
Portwood is also mom to 6-year-old son James, whom she shares with ex Andrew Glennon. In 2022, the “Never Too Late” author lost custody of her second child following a heated altercation with his father.
Another public relationship of Portwood’s includes her engagement to Matt Baier, which ran from 2015 until 2017.
Each of these exes appeared on TV with Portwood — who currently stars on “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” — at some point. It remains to be seen whether her new Gary will make his reality TV debut on Season 2, which premiered May 30.
