Mackenzie McKee took to social media this week to give fans an update on her pregnancy as she and fiancé Khesanio Hall prepare to welcome twins.
On Monday, the mom-of-three– who is currently 30 weeks pregnant with twin girls– posted on Facebook that after dealing with painful contractions, she went to the hospital “begging for any help they can give me to ease the pain.”
Days earlier, Mackenzie had posted another update on Facebook, calling the last month of her pregnancy, “the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced.”
Mackenzie went on to reveal that she was given meds at the hospital that made her feel like a “zombie.” She later returned from the hospital to a “super clean home”– thanks to two of her friends who came over to help out– and was able to get some much-needed rest; however, when she woke up, Mack said she mistakenly believed for a moment that she had already given birth.
“ … I was able to crash for an hour (most sleep I’ve gotten in [a long] time at once) and came to the living room and y’all…… I DONE THOUGHT I GAVE BIRTH TO THE TWINS,” she revealed. “I felt my chest and my milk had come in so I picked a doll up and held it.
“I’m sad no one witnessed this moment,” she added.

Mackenzie— who is a Type 1 diabetic— had high-risk, difficult pregnancies with her first three children. As for her health with this pregnancy, Mackenzie has stated that she has “great diabetic care team.” During her previous pregnancies, Mackenzie struggled to keep her diabetes under control, which resulted in her having very large babies. Her eldest son Gannon weighed 9 lbs., 7 oz. at birth, while daughter Jaxie was over 8 lbs. Mack’s third child Broncs— who had serious health issues after birth— weighed in at a whopping 10 lbs., 1 oz.
“This pregnancy is unlike the last 3,” she wrote. “I have an insulin pump and Dexcom, along with a great diabetic care team. My sugars are not only great, but the babies are super healthy and growing perfectly.”
While Mack is healthier this time around, she wrote on Facebook this week that a twin pregnancy is more physically overwhelming than her previous ones— and more painful.
“ … I now have 2 almost 4-pound babies in me, plus their own sacks, extra fluid, and two placentas,” she wrote. “So I’m bigger than I was with my last 10-pound single baby,” she wrote. “I sleep sitting up in a chair, and every night like clockwork I have contractions from 2:30 am-10 am. Ones that I’m mentally very drained from. Ones that have me screaming for dear life.
“This last month is the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced,” she continued. “But thank you God I’m healthy and so are the babies.”
Earlier this month, Mackenzie told fans during an Instagram Q&A that she carried her first three children at “36-37 weeks only,” and that her goal with this pregnancy is “32-34 weeks.”
“I’d love to try and make it past next month into June,” she added.
