Teen Mom’s Cheyenne Floyd Is in Therapy With Zach Davis After Trying to Get Pregnant for Over a Year

Teen Mom star Cheyenne Floyd and Zach Davis are trying to make it work no matter what.

While speaking exclusively to Us Weekly, Floyd admitted she and Davis are in therapy together after attempting to get pregnant for nearly two years. Floyd is a mom of two, sharing daughter Ryder with ex Cory Wharton and son Ace with Davis.

“I love our therapist,” Floyd told Us at Us + Maidenform’s Reality Star Style Awards party on Tuesday, April 22, at The Highlight Room in NYC. “I think the strain came from, I started hiding when I was taking pregnancy tests and he would be like, ‘Why are you upset throughout the day?’ And I wasn’t being forthcoming, but I also didn’t want to be the person who always delivers bad news, so we had to go to therapy to work it out. I love Zach and I realized that he just wants to be supportive, and I had to let him show up for me.”

Floyd says that season 2 of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter has been the most difficult because of the fertility problems the pair has faced. She also found out she has PCOS, which has exacerbated the trouble.

“Zach and I have been trying to get pregnant for a year and a half now and just being told you’re not fertile, it just doesn’t work. It’s hard. It’s really hard,” she explained.

She also admitted that while the journey has been very difficult, it’s also been rewarding to open up about dealing with infertility because she’s helped others in the process.

“[I] just want to know, ‘Why didn’t anybody tell me?’” Floyd asked. “I’m crying in the bathroom by myself and then calling my best friend. What do I do? It’s hard. It’s so hard. But that’s why I wanted to talk about it on the show, and the influx of messages that I’ve got from people that are like, ‘Thank you.’”

If there’s a silver lining, it’s that Floyd and Davis have proven they can weather difficult times together. In January, Floyd revealed her hometown was destroyed by the wildfires in Los Angeles.

“I was born and raised in Altadena. My childhood home is at the top of where everything was happening and where the fires were really, really bad,” Floyd exclusively told Us earlier this year. “The church that we grew up in, the schools, the grocery stores, our favorite pastrami shop, every single thing is gone. It’s just devastating.”

She and Davis managed to pull together volunteers to help take care of people who needed it the most. Floyd started an Amazon wishlist with the help of her followers on Snapchat, and things grew from there.

“The next day, I just sat on my couch and I added thousands of products, and then I was like, ‘I wonder if this is gonna work,’” she added at the time. “I woke up the next morning and I looked at Zach and I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, there’s 1,600 orders. What are we gonna do?’”

Their home became something of a warehouse for the donated items, and the pair worked together to make sure everyone was taken care of.
