Teen Mom star Mackenzie McKee revealed the sex of her twins with fiancé Khesanio Hall during an emotional moment captured by MTV cameras.
Khes, 30, Mackenzie, 30, and her three children, Gannon, 13, Jaxie, 10, Broncs, 7, will gather together to learn if she was expecting boys or girls during a "Goals or Bows"-themed celebration on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.
In a teaser, the couple filled soccer balls with colorful smoke, and Khes kicked the balls as pink smoke came out of them. The color means that they are expecting two girls.
Fans will have to wait to see the full gender reveal during the season finale on Thursday, May 22, at 8 p.m. ET.
Mackenzie and Khes' gender reveal of their twins was teased than one month after she announced that she is pregnant after she underwent IVF.
“No one knows I’m pregnant but I am,” the MTV personality said while appearing on the March 31 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. “There’s two in there.”
Mackenzie has continued to open up about her pregnancy, and shared an update about how it was going while participating in a Q&A via her Instagram Stories on April 8.
When one person asked how her current pregnancy has “been different from the others,” she admitted there were a lot of differences. “I never had morning sickness with the others. I didn’t grow as fast. I was extremely prepared this time. I feel so much more mature,” she said. “My diabetic care is top notch.”
After noting that this is her first pregnancy without her late mother, Angie Douthit, being around to help, Mackenzie pointed out that Khes has been more supportive than her ex-husband, Josh McKee, was during her first three pregnancies.
“I’m not chasing a man begging him to step up his game every day,” she wrote about Josh, 31, adding that Khes “loves my belly 24/7.”
Mackenzie then admitted that this is her first pregnancy that she’s been able to “relax” and not worry “if the bills are paid.”
As the Q&A continued, the fitness enthusiast shared the timeline of when she expects to deliver the twins. “I carried my singletons to 36-37 weeks only. I’d love to try and make it past next month into June,” she told one fan, who predicted she would give birth in August. “32-34 weeks is my goal.”
Mackenzie, who has diabetes, also opened up about her health throughout the pregnancy. “This pregnancy is unlike the last 3. I have an insulin pump and Dexcom, along with a great diabetic care team,” she explained. “My sugars are not only great, but the babies are super healthy and growing perfectly.”
The parents-to-be got engaged in June 2024 following a romantic beachside proposal.
“I had my dad, sisters and best friend in town. We decided to all dress up for a photo shoot and head to the beach,” Mackenzie told People about the beach proposal. “When I arrived at the beach, I saw my man there, ready to ask me to marry him … The first thing that came to my mind was, ‘Oh my God, I am loved. I get to marry this man that I love so much.’”
