Teresa Giudice is all good with the long pause for “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
On January 28, the RHONJ OG chatted with PIX11’s “New York Living” about the status of the Bravo reality show amid rumors that there could be a full reboot or cast shakeup for season 15.
Giudice said the drama from the volatile season 14 finale is “not resolved” months after filming wrapped. “No, not resolved, but it’s good to take a break,” she said. “It’s good. It was very toxic.”
When asked about the break from her family members who appeared on RHONJ, Giudice clarified, “No that’s a permanent break. All the way.”
“The first and second season wasn’t bad,” she said of the show she joined in 2009. “It was after that, that’s when my family came on and then that’s when, [I’m like], ‘I didn’t sign up for this.’”
“I feel bad for my husband [Luis Ruelas] because he was just thrown into that, and he didn’t want no part of that,” she added. “Now, it’s been a while now since the craziness and the toxicity, so it’s all good now.”
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” has been on “pause” for more than six months following a volatile 14th season that left the cast fractured. Bravo producer Andy Cohen told Us Weekly that an official announcement about the show may not come until 2026.
Teresa Giudice Is Keeping Busy During the Pause
Giudice is the only original cast member remaining on RHONJ. The 14th season of the Bravo reality show also included Dolores Catania, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda, as well as “friends” Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler.
Giudice told “New York Living” that she has been focusing on her family and her other business ventures during the RHONJ pause. “Just, you know, concentrating on my family,” she said of the blended clan she shares with Ruelas and their six kids. “I have 4 beautiful daughters, as you guys know. I have an amazing husband and two wonderful stepsons and. four dogs. So I have a busy household, revolving door.”
“I have a lip collection,” she added of her new lipstick line, Lips by Teresa x Christian Audette. “We’re looking to open up a restaurant, and I want to get the whole family involved. So, it’s exciting. I have a successful podcast ‘Turning the Tables,’ So I have a lot going on.”
Teresa Giudice Expects to Be Back for RHONJ Season 15

Giudice previously predicted she would be asked back to RHONJ for season 15. On the December 31 episode of the “AllAboutTRH” podcast, the reality TV veteran told hosts Roxanne Bahri and Shantel Butras, “I still want to be on TV and I hope they have me back. They have to have the OG back, they have to, you know.”
On an episode of her “Turning the Tables” podcast, Giudice predicted that some, but not all, of the cast would be asked to return. “Not to toot my own horn, but I think I am the fans’ favorite,” she claimed.
Giudice also reiterated that if her estranged brother Joe Gorga approached her and said he’d like to do another season of RHONJ with her, it would be too late for that. “If they think a break is going to bring me and my brother back, that’s done,” she said.
