Tank Dell is putting in the hard work to make sure he's ready for the 2024 NFL season.
The Houston Texans are one of the hottest teams in the AFC. Just a few seasons removed from being stuck in NFL purgatory, the Texans are favorites in the AFC South and legit contenders for the Super Bowl. The rise of young players like CJ Stroud, Will Anderson Jr., and Tank Dell has helped Houston rise to power so quickly. Dell recently shared his thoughts as he recovers from a gunshot wound he suffered at a mass shooting in April.
According to Dell's trainer Delfonte Diamond, the star receiver had a clear message as he resumed offseason workouts this past weekend: ‘It's time to go. I'm ready to go.'

“Oh man, Tank looked good,” Diamond told KPRC 2. “It’s the real deal. He ain’t lost a step. Even though that stuff happened, three is ready to go.”
Diamond notes that Tank Dell is hard at work and looks to be back to his old self.
“Oh yeah, his mental is good,” Diamond said. “Big smile. [Dell] gave me a hug. He told me he loved me. He said, ‘It’s time to work.’ His spirits are in a good place.”
Diamond also offered his opinion on what the rest of Dell's offseason may look like. The Texans recently began organized team activities ahead of the upcoming full-team minicamp later this summer.
“I think DeMeco will sit him out until the big camp in July,” Diamond said. “I’m sure he’ll watch practice. DeMeco wants him to do routes on air. He’ll be at practice, I’m sure, but not full-go.”
Texans principal owner Cal McNair speaks on Tank Dell suffering gunshot wound
The Houston Texans are relieved that Tank Dell is recovering and getting back to his old self. Dell suffered a gunshot wound as an innocent bystander during a mass shooting in Florida.
