Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is making encouraging progress less than a month after being shot at a Florida bar.
On Saturday, Dell’s trainer, Delfonte Diamond, posted a video of the Texans wide receiver running routes. Dell looked to be going full speed during the drills and showed no visible sign of injury.
Dell was an innocent bystander in the Florida incident, with the Texans stating the wide receiver suffered a “minor” gunshot wound. Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston reported Saturday that Dell suffered a “flesh wound” that went through one side of his leg and out the other, avoiding any structural damage.
As a rookie in 2023, Dell was one of Houston’s standout players, and he quickly developed a rapport with quarterback CJ Stroud. He wound up catching 47 passes for 709 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie and should have a big role in the Texans’ offense moving forward.
