Texans WR Tank Dell Makes Bold Statement For 2024 NFL Season

The Houston Texans have major expectations heading into the 2024 NFL campaign, and wide receiver Tank Dell knows it.

Texans WR Tank Dell Makes Bold Statement For 2024 NFL Season

Unlike last year, when the Texans were predicted to finish in last place in the AFC South but ended up winning the division, Houston is viewed as a legitimate contender heading into training camp.

“We ready,” Dell said, via Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2. “We’re all excited. We know we have a target on our back. We got a lot of things we want to accomplish: Super Bowl, playoffs, things like that. So we’re ready to go work.”

Dell’s rookie campaign in 2023 was cut short due to a broken leg injury that ended his season after 11 games. During his time on the field, Dell hauled in 47 receptions for 709 yards and seven touchdowns as the No. 2 receiver behind Nico Collins.

Now, Dell will likely be the No. 3, as the Texans acquired Stefon Diggs in a blockbuster trade with the Buffalo Bills earlier this offseason.

Tank Dell Is Ready For a Breakout Sophomore Season

Dell was very good in his rookie year, but he is anticipating an even better season for himself in 2024.

When asked about where he stands with his sophomore campaign on the horizon, Dell was very optimistic.

“I’m way better,” Dell said. “I feel like I’m way better than I was last year at this time. The little bit of experience I got before I got injured, I already know the playbook. So I don’t have to put too much stress on that. I’m just working every day. I know I’m ready.”

The Texans are widely viewed as serious threats to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC due to their loaded offense that is led by second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud. But it’s not just their offense. Houston also has an impressive defense, especially after adding edge rusher Danielle Hunter in free agency.

Of course, this time around, rival teams will be ready for the Texans. Last season, Houston caught everyone by surprise on its way to winning 10 games and routing the Cleveland Browns in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

Will the Texans be prepared for the added pressure?

It certainly seems like Tank Dell is.
