When talking about his 27-kg weight-loss journey, Cowell revealed that, unlike many other celebrities who choose weight-loss injections, his secret lies in dietary habits — specifically cutting out certain foods.
According to The Mirror, in 2019 Cowell first lost more than 9 kg by switching to a vegan diet. In April 2022, he told The Sun that he had once again adjusted his diet. This time, he eliminated all dairy, sugar, bread (and anything containing gluten), as well as red meat. He said cutting those foods truly made a difference.
Cowell also shared with The Sun: “The most dramatic period was the first month — that’s when most of the weight came off, and I looked in the mirror and thought, ‘Wow.’”
The judge admitted that he once had a habit of eating fast food and unhealthy meals, but cutting them out helped him drop as many as four pant sizes.
Besides changing his eating habits, Simon Cowell also followed his doctor’s advice to reduce his alcohol consumption. He told Extra TV: “My first thought was, ‘What about alcohol?’ and my doctor said, ‘You probably shouldn’t drink as much as you used to,’ so I followed that advice — and it really helped.”
So, what does Simon Cowell eat now to maintain his figure? According to The Express, he continues to avoid the foods mentioned and often eats lean meats like chicken breast with lots of vegetables. It’s a very healthy diet, and Simon Cowell has clearly adopted it with great results.
