The Bachelor's Joey Graziadei & Kelsey Anderson Reveal New Red Flags Amid Relationship Concerns

Despite their many efforts to prove they are happy, The Bachelor's Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson may be having relationship problems after a series of new red flags were revealed. Joey was introduced to America first as a contestant in The Bachelorette season 20 and then as the lead for The Bachelor season 28. Joey had a difficult choice to make during the final episode and ultimately chose Kelsey Anderson. Since their relationship was made official, the couple has had to put serious energy into dispelling rumors that they are unhappy.

"Joey, you aren’t in Hawai’i anymore. Pls cage the dogs for dinner."

During a recent post on Kelsey's Instagram page, Kelsey and Joey prepared to go out to dinner, but Kelsey wouldn't leave until Joey changed from "flip-flops" to more appropriate, close-toed shoes. The caption read, "Joey, you aren’t in Hawai’i anymore. Pls cage the dogs for dinner. PS I love you," seemingly in an attempt to lighten her critique.

However, her social media followers weren't letting it slide in the comments section@morg_the_1st commented, "Do you know why he wouldn’t say that to you Kelsey? It’s because it’s rude. Talk to someone about your attitude. You’re not special." The commenter also added red flag emojis. A lot of other Instagram users added red flag emojis to their comments as well.

Is Criticism Against The Bachelor’s Joey & Kelsey Legitimate Or Ridiculous?

Joey & Kelsey Will Not Let The Negativity Get To Them

Joey and Kelsey have faced intense criticism since they officially became a couple, with speculation spreading across Bachelor Nation that Joey should have chosen Daisy Kent. However, Joey has been firm in his decision to give the final rose to Kelsey, who has become his partner and best friend. With their happiness on full display, it is curious to see the amount of negativity thrown at the couple, such as one commenter, @chriscorsini, who said, “He’ll stick around for about 7 1/2 more months.” This amount of negativity against Joey and Kelsey does not seem to be appropriate.

While some of these red flags that fans say exist may be small and unimportant, there are a few red flags that actually do matter. Joey has admitted to having some financial trouble and confessed that, after missing a credit card payment, his credit score dropped 80 points. After The Bachelor ended, Joey moved into the home that Kelsey shares with two roommates, and both Kelsey and Joey have left their jobs in order to be free to explore new opportunities. In most relationships, these are issues that would need more consideration.

Joey and Kelsey are not in a normal relationship, and these issues may be normal because of what they have experienced. In relationships, partners are supposed to be supportive and encouraging, which is what Joey and Kelsey have been doing since they became official. Kelsey and Joey have been inseparable since The Bachelor season 28 ended, including going on tropical vacations and adventures together. When Joey's grandmother died in May 2024, Kelsey was his comfort and source of support while he endured his grief. Kelsey may not approve of Joey’s choice of shoes, but it is clear she loves him.

For some reason, Bachelor Nation does not approve of Joey and Kelsey together, but the couple has not let that stop them from beginning their lives together. Joey was clear from the beginning about what he wanted, and even during the entirety of The Bachelor season 28, he only ever said, "I love you," to one woman: Kelsey. Kelsey and Joey are both young and ready to take on, as a couple, the challenges that life throws at them. They have already faced more challenges than most couples have and appear to be stronger than ever.
