The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap for Friday, July 18, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) celebrated his tumor-free brain scan while John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) looked like he couldn’t shake a strange feeling.
In Liam’s room at the Spencer mansion, the nurse tended to him while Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) pushed his son to rest and just focus on surviving.
Bill eventually went out in the hall since some visitors had arrived for Liam.
Those visitors included Finn, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), so Bill did his best to answer their questions before letting them see Liam.
After the nurse let Finn look at Liam’s latest numbers, he marveled over how well the patient was doing only a couple hours after the surgery.
Bill recapped the whole situation with Grace and the doctor she’d brought in from out of the country – though he couldn’t remember the other doctor’s name.
Due to the experimental nature of the procedure, Bill explained that it couldn’t happen at the hospital.
Nevertheless, Bill insisted it was a completely professional experience and was hopeful about the tumor being totally gone.
Finn kept trying to get more information on the surgery on Friday’s B&B episode, but Bill acted like it didn’t matter as long as Liam had a chance to live.
Once Liam stirred awake, he was pleased to see Steffy and Hope being at his bedside.
Liam was groggy and didn’t remember where he was at first, but he got a reminder about the procedure and how he’d settled in the Spencer mansion.
At Forrester Creations, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) found Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) embracing Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) before they all rehashed the Luna drama and what a hero Liam was.
However, the three of them were heartbroken over Liam’s inoperable brain tumor since they assumed the end was still coming soon.
Although Taylor and Brooke thought maybe the Italy trip should be postponed due to Liam’s circumstances, Ridge wanted to stick to the plan for now.
If things took a bad turn before they left, they could reevaluate.
In the design office, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) joined Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) and Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) as they discussed Liam’s hero status.
Of course, they also discussed Liam’s looming grim fate, which Will struggled to accept.
Will insisted they’d pursue every possible option and got emotional since he didn’t want to lose his brother, so Katie gave him a hug.
Back at Bill’s place, he got a text from Grace about the MRI results.
Bill told Liam, Finn, Hope and Steffy that the scan was clean, so the tumor had been 100-percent removed and Liam had good margins.
There were plenty of happy reactions all around – and even Finn made a comment about medical history being made.
However, Finn’s expression ultimately grew more pensive while Liam, Bill, Hope and Steffy celebrated.
