The Bold and the Beautiful Monday, April 21 Update: Steffy Faces the Unthinkable as Liam’s Fate Is Sealed

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for Monday, April 21, reveals that Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) will offer grim confirmation before Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) makes a choice. Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) will also face some confusion later, so let’s discuss what’s coming up on B&B.

At the cliff house, Steffy was enjoying Liam and Kelly Spencer’s (Sophia Paras) dance party when Finn sent a chilling text.

Finn mentioned that he’d been trying to reach Liam since his scans showed an inoperable brain mass, so Steffy was visibly shaken over the news.

Of course, that made Liam’s vow to always be there for Kelly truly heartbreaking.

Steffy knows Liam may not be able to keep his word if his condition puts him six feet under soon.

Although Steffy trusts that Finn knows what he’s doing as a doctor, she’ll probably still deal with some denial on Monday’s show.

Steffy won’t want to face the truth if it means losing Liam and having to raise Kelly without him.

It looks like Finn will come home from the hospital early so he can open up to Steffy about Liam’s bleak situation.

As much as Finn would like to offer positive updates, he’ll back up Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) and Dr. Bridget Jones (Ashley Jones) when it comes to their assessment of Liam’s scans.

In other words, Finn will offer confirmation that Liam’s condition is terminal, so Steffy will realize there’s truly nothing they can do to save him.

Once Steffy wraps her head around the horror of it all, she’ll make a request that catches Finn off guard.

Someone has to tell Liam about this inoperable brain mass, so Steffy will pitch herself as the best person for the job.

It’s not conventional for someone’s ex-wife to spill a major medical diagnosis, but that’s the beauty of soaps!

They can do whatever they want for the sake of the story, so let’s just roll with it.

Steffy will make the choice to tell Liam herself and get Finn’s approval, but it’ll still be a challenge to look in Liam’s eyes and fill him in.

After Liam finishes some extra daddy-daughter time with Kelly elsewhere, he may realize Steffy’s acting rather off.

Liam may end up confused as Steffy prepares to talk about his brain mass and the tragic outcome that awaits.

That said, no one can rule out the idea of Liam finding some path to survival.

Despite his doctors’ predictions, Liam might get a miracle somewhere down the line.
