The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers for Thursday, July 17, hint that scammer Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) will focus on her cover-up since Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) miracle obviously isn’t what it seems.
Grace introduced her colleague, Dr. Adhikari, before the surgery and made sure Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) was wiring the money, but something shady is definitely going on here.
B&B fans saw Grace make an incision on Liam’s head, but what happened after that?
We’re betting that nothing happened at all and that Liam never had a real tumor to begin with.
Perhaps Grace has been blackmailed into intercepting patients with brain injuries, convincing them they have an inoperable tumor and then giving them this miraculous chance to survive.
The fact that Liam had an incredibly wealthy father may have made him an especially good candidate for this scam.
Grace may have faked the scans and offered up medication to make Liam think his symptoms were worsening ahead of this “miracle cure.”
Dr. Adhikari honestly doesn’t even seem like a real doctor now that he’s been on-screen without much to say.
Grace is claiming the tumor’s gone and that Liam’s a medical miracle, but it just feels like maybe Liam was never terminally ill at all.
Of course, Bill is overjoyed over the surgery seemingly being a success, so Grace might try to tell herself everybody wins here.
However, Bill would certainly disagree if he knew he paid all that money for no reason!
Since John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) are questioning why Grace supposedly released Liam into Bill’s care so soon, they could be on the verge of uncovering Grace’s role in this scam.
Grace presumably felt she had no choice if she was being threatened along with her daughters, but she’s still responsible for her choices and will inevitably face backlash when everything blows up.
For now, Grace will check to make sure the money’s been transferred and look guilty over all the shadiness.
Although Grace will hope the rest of this plan goes off without a hitch, there are bound to be some snags along the way.
