The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap for Tuesday, May 27, reveals that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) accepted Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) ring while Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) made a promise to Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras).
At the loft, Hope pumped the brakes on Carter’s proposal since it was a big step and she was trying to be cautious with her heart.
However, Carter assured Hope that she could trust him to be the husband she deserved.
Hope ultimately admitted that she’d indeed thought about making a lifetime commitment to Carter, but that was before all the drama went down.
Carter intended to be the man Hope needed him to be from now on and hoped she’d say yes to his engagement ring.
At Forrester Creations, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) were discussing Liam when a suspicious Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) walked in.
Ridge pushed Taylor and Steffy to come clean, but he assumed they were talking about Hope.
After Ridge asked what changed Steffy’s mind about bringing Hope back to Forrester, she insisted that her priorities had shifted.
Ridge noted that he got the same answer from Hope and questioned Steffy about what exactly that meant.
Steffy did her best to explain without divulging anything about Liam’s medical condition.
Once talk turned to Hope’s romantic future, Steffy confessed she had mixed feelings about Hope and Carter 2.0 given the coup, but she really just wanted Hope to be happy.
At the cliff house on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Liam played Go Fish with Kelly, who loved having her dad on the property and never wanted him to leave.
John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) gently pointed out that Liam wouldn’t be there with them forever – just like Kelly would eventually grow up and move out.
Liam promised Kelly would never be alone since he’d always be watching her, so they exchanged love declarations and hugs.
While Liam was tucking Kelly in, Finn read a text from Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) and later asked Liam if he’d made any decisions regarding his treatment plan.
Liam hadn’t made a choice yet since he was focused on other things – like the difficult task of saying goodbye to his girls and making sure his loved ones would be OK when he was gone.
Liam knew Finn would be there for Steffy and was hopeful about Carter being there for Hope, too.
After Liam suggested Hope and Carter could have an amazing life, he added that Hope just had to say yes to it.
Back at the loft, Carter made a speech about wanting a family with Hope and Beth Spencer (Jordyn Grace).
After Carter vowed to be the best stepfather he could possibly be, he said he’d make Hope and Beth his entire world.
Carter suggested they could maybe have a kid of their own someday and assured Hope that their love was stronger than the challenges they’d faced.
After Carter highlighted his devotion, he once again asked Hope if she’d marry him.
With tears in her eyes, a smiling Hope said she’d be Carter’s wife.
Carter shared a kiss with Hope and was overjoyed as he put the ring on her finger.
