The Fierce Rivalry Between General Hospital’s Brook Lynn and Lulu

Brook Lynn and Lulu — the secrets, betrayals, and family drama — that has led to the rivalry on General Hospital.

Past, Present, Future

In June 2010, Carly (Laura Wright) hired Brook Lynn (then played by Adrienne Leon) to break up Lulu (then played by Julie Marie Berman) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). Carly was upset that Dante, a cop, had exposed Michael’s (Chad Duell) role in Claudia’s (Sarah Joy Brown) murder. Brook Lynn drugged Dante and made it look like they had slept together, but the plan ultimately failed when Dante remained loyal to Lulu. Lulu found out about Brook Lynn’s scheme in September 2010 and confronted her, leading to a major blowout between them. Lulu saw her as a manipulative liar. By early 2011, Brook Lynn left town, but the damage to their relationship was already done.

Brook Lynn (now played by Amanda Setton) returned to Port Charles in November 2019, now more business-focused but still fiery. In early 2020, she clashed with Lulu (then played by Emme Rylan) over her stake in ELQ, the Quartermaine family company. Brook Lynn was reckless with her shares, which angered Lulu. In March 2020, things escalated when Brook Lynn got into an altercation with Lulu at the Metro Court over Brook Lynn’s music contract issues. By late 2020, Lulu was covering a story about Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) takeover of General Hospital, and Brook Lynn criticized her for stirring up trouble. In November 2020, Brook Lynn and Lulu had one last heated argument at the Metro Court. Lulu accused Brook Lynn of being selfish and reckless, while Brook Lynn called Lulu judgmental and self-righteous.

Lulu (now played by Alex Havins) awoke from her four-year coma in November 2024 and their hostility soon reared its ugly head once again. It turns out Brook Lynn and Dante had slept together one summer at camp. Brook Lynn became pregnant and enlisted her mother Lois’ (Rena Sofer) help. Brook Lynn confided in Lois, who provided unwavering support throughout the ordeal. Lois facilitated a private adoption, ensuring that the process remained confidential to protect Brook Lynn’s future. Brook Lynn never revealed the pregnancy to Dante and did not bring it up to anyone. Lulu was snooping for information on her daughter Charlotte’s (Scarlett Fernandez) whereabouts and found notes her uncle, Martin (Michael E. Knight), had written after Lois met with him. Lulu discovered the secret that Dante was the father of the baby Brook Lynn put up for adoption and that the baby was a boy, which Brook Lynn did not even know. What no one knows, except Martin, Lois and Gloria Cerullo (Ellen Travolta), is the true identity of the child — Gio (Giovanni Mazza), who lives with The Quartermaines and was raised believing Camila, Brook Lynn’s cousin, was his biological mother, unaware of his true parentage. Brook Lynn’s husband Chase (Josh Swickard) put Lulu on notice to stop coming after his wife, and Lulu has found a confidante in Cody (Josh Kelly), who — get this — was also at summer camp with Dante and Brook Lynn.

With the secret poised to come out, many of the citizens of Port Charles will be affected. Brook Lynn’s father, Ned (Wally Kurth), is married to Dante’s mom, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero). Gio’s grandfather is Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). That makes Gio a member of The Quartermaine, Corinthos, and Cerullo families.
