The Guardians Wiley and Amelia Deserve on General Hospital

Wiley and Amelia Grace are the most popular children on General Hospital. While Daisy keeps appearing and disappearing, Donna and Avery are Sonny’s uncontested property, and Gio and Rocco have more parents than the average person needs. Wiley and Amelia are being tugged on from all sides.

Michael has custody, and he won’t let Willow so much as give their little boy a hug at the pool, while Carly and Sonny are confident they are no danger to their grandchildren, despite their own son’s death, not to mention random shootings to the head and catching fire. Which is why we are prepared to play Solomon and determine who is really the best guardian for those kids.

First Mover Advantage

Wiley spent his first year in the loving home of Lucas (Van Hansis) and Brad (Perry Shen). Then the truth came out about his real parentage, and he was returned to Michael (Rory Gibson) and Nelle (Chloe Lanier).

Well, Nelle is dead, Michael is a horrible, selfish human being, and Willow, Wylie’s adoptive mom, is hysterical and possibly psychotic (see appearing and reappearing Baby Daisy). So why not give Wylie back to the dads who loved him first?

Life as We Know It

Yes, we said “dads.” Sure, Brad knew the baby he presented his husband with had been swapped for the one they legally adopted, who tragically died. But he thought he was doing a friend a favor. And Lucas was completely blameless for the whole thing.

Compared to the rest, they’re still Wylie’s best option. And Wylie shouldn’t be separated from his baby sister, so they’re a package deal now.

Remember that movie with Josh Duhamel (Leo, All My Children) and Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy)? Where they hate each other, but then are made guardians of an adorable little girl, and wackiness ensues? That’s what we want to see here. Lucas and Brad are both tasked with taking care of Wylie and Amelia… and the sparks being to fly again!
