Recently, HBO's The Last of Us finally gave fans a taste of what's to come in its upcoming season 2 courtesy of a new trailer with tasty teasers, as well as the first proper looks at Kaitlyn Dever's portrayal of Abby. However, much of the clip showed off Abby in flashbacks, but fans of the sequel game did get to see that terrifying scene of her pinned under a fence by infected. Thankfully, a more thorough image has been showcased of the prominent figure in the new Last of Us season 2 posters, which also revealed Ellie and Joel.
It hasn't been an easy ride for fans who have had to wait two whole years since season 1 of The Last of Us wrapped up with that Ellie and Joel cliffhanger. Now, the horizon seems much clearer as the second portrayal of Naughty Dog’s video game is finally adapted to the screen, which will fast-forward five years with Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) in Jackson, as well as Joel’s brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna). Although season 2 seemingly won't adapt everything from The Last of Us Part 2, its episodes should cover much of its base storyline and may flesh out or add new arcs like season 1 did with Bill and Frank.
