The Last of Us: Part II's Remastered's release comes after a tumultuous and bug-ridden launch of the PC version of The Last of Us: Part I as well as the upcoming second season of HBO's award-winning adaptation of the series, which will cover the early portions of The Last of Us: Part II.
What The Last Of Us: Part II Brings To PC
The Last of Us: Part II also brings a deep look in the development behind the game. It includes incomplete “Lost Levels” that didn’t make it into the final product. For the “Lost Levels” and the main game as a whole, there’s director and actor commentary players can listen to while they play. There is also a four-episode Podcast series detailing the development of the game as well.
Naughty Dog has revealed on the PlayStation Blog that this new PC version was developed in partnership with Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy Studios who are striving to maximize the potential of The Last of Us: Part II on PC. Naughty Dog has teased new further PC-specific announcements such as specs and features will come in the months leading up to its April 2025 release.
