After a premiere episode that reintroduces audiences to the world, a new trailer for The Last of Us season 2 teases upcoming action-packed episodes. The hit HBO series follows Joel and Ellie, who help each other survive years after a fungal infection turned the majority of the world's population into zombie-like creatures. In The Last of Us season 2, Joel and Ellie have settled in the town of Jackson, Wyoming, but danger still looms for them after the dramatic events of the show's debut season.

Following the highly anticipated premiere of The Last of Us, Max has released a trailer for the upcoming episodes. The trailer teases how Abby and the other Fireflies will carry out their revenge against Joel. Ellie and Dina set off on a mission together, and the town of Jackson is attacked by infected. Additionally, new factions are also teased in the trailer, which will be important to The Last of Us season 2's story.

After Joel decides to massacre a group of Fireflies to save Ellie's life, Abby and her group are now seeking revenge for the death of their loved ones. While the premiere episode is slower than viewers of The Last of Us are used to, things will definitely pick up in episode 2 now that Abby has tracked down Joel, who she wants to kill "slowly."

Isaac's inclusion in The Last of Us season 2 will lead to more reveals about two major new groups: the Washington Liberation Front and the Seraphites.

This new trailer for season 2 also teases that Jackson will be under attack by a horde of infected. At the end of The Last of Us season 2, episode 1, Cordyceps fungus can be seen in the broken pipe in Jackson, which will undoubtedly cause major problems for the growing town. Meanwhile, the trailer also offers a glimpse at Isaac, who is played by Jeffrey Wright in the series.
