Watch out Victor, Billy and Cane!
On the August 7 episode of The Young and the Restless, Sally offered Audra a job at Abbott Communications. Audra politely turned her down. Why she should reconsider—and take it even further.
Musical Jobs in Genoa City
We love how, in Genoa City, people not only accept jobs they haven’t yet been offered, but also offer jobs to people to work with them in jobs they don’t yet have. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has already made herself Cane’s (Billy Flynn) professional partner, and she’s offering Daniel (Michael Graziadei) the chance to work with his Mommy. Daniel tried to bring her back down to earth. But since when has that ever worked for either of them?
Sally Offers Audra a Job
Now Sally (Courtney Hope) is in the same position. Billy (Jason Thompson) hasn’t gotten Chancellor from Cane (Billy Flynn)—Cane, for that matter, hasn’t gotten Chancellor for Victor (Eric Braeden)—but Sally has already assumed he will, and has named herself president of Abbott Communications.
In her new (imaginary) position, she’s suggested that Audra (Zuleyka Silver) come work with her. Which would be, in a word: Fantastic.
Sally and Audra Have Something to Prove
Sally and Audra are both Genoa City outliers that nobody takes seriously. They have something to prove. They’re hungry, in a way the self-satisfied Newmans and Abbotts wouldn’t know how to be, even if they wanted to.
And while we have been waiting for literally decades for somebody to get the best of Victor, we’re not sure if we want Billy or Cane to be the ones to do it. They are also pretty smug and could use a reality check.
The idea of two scrappy women winning over all those annoying men makes us giddy with anticipation. Billy should get what he wants, but only so Sally can get what she wants. Then Audra can get what she wants. And we will finally get what we want!
