The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) may go missing.
Will Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) be blamed after making an ominous comment to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd)?
In Y&R’s April 7 episode, Chance will think it’s time to stop dancing around the obvious issue here.
Anyone can see that Summer is jealous over Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) moving on with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).
That’s why Chance will keep pushing until he finally convinces Summer to be honest about her disdain for Kyle’s latest romance.
Summer will make a livid speech about how she can’t stand Kyle and Claire being together, so Chance will be glad she’s finally admitting it.
Since Summer still hasn’t forgotten the way Claire went after her family, she’ll point that out, too.
Summer won’t like how everyone has just embraced this new-and-improved Claire.
As Summer clearly isn’t over Kyle, she’ll confess she sometimes wishes Claire would just disappear!
It’s interesting that Summer’s going to spill all this to Chance, who’s a detective and could end up thinking back on this conversation with suspicion later.
When someone on a soap admits to wishing another character would disappear, there’s a good chance that character is indeed going to vanish.
It makes sense for Summer’s comment to potentially pave the way for Claire to go missing.
Of course, it’d be pretty extreme for Summer to do anything to physically harm Claire.
No one can rule out Summer doing something drastic like kidnapping Claire and holding her hostage, but there’s nothing to indicate Summer will go that far off the rails.
Instead, this might be a situation where something else happens to Claire – something that isn’t connected to Summer at all.
Even so, Summer’s comment may land her on the hot seat with Chance if Claire vanishes.
Chance might launch an investigation and grill Summer about whether she might’ve made her own wish come true!
In reality, Claire could get tangled up in some accident that causes her to be off-screen for a bit.
Then again, maybe someone surprising like Ian Ward (Ray Wise) or a somehow revived Jordan (Colleen Zenk) re-enter the mix to snatch Claire.
Regardless, it’s unsettling for Summer to want Claire to disappear and could set up Claire disappearing for real!
It may look like Summer’s wish was more of a prediction and land her in hot water.
