Brittany Cartwright Taking Over Bar Scene?
For some time in her marriage to Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright was the breadwinner. This was something she discussed with former Vanderpump Rules co-star, Scheana Shay. Scheana had the same problem with her husband, Brock Davies as she was the worker bee and brought in the income. Jax did bring Brittany into the reality television world. He started dating her in Season 4 of VPR when they met in Las Vegas. She then started visiting California from Kentucky and eventually relocated for love. This led to her remaining on the hit Bravo series until the end of Season 8.

They had a one-season spinoff and then were offered brand deals with Brittany landing a lucrative gig as a Jenny Craig spokesperson. Jax bragged about how much she earned when he was on Season 1 of House of Villains which could have been his downfall. His co-stars did not think he needed the prize money and he was quickly voted off. Jax and Brittany soon were cast in the VPR spinoff, The Valley and they opened a bar, Jax’s Studio City. Yet, when they split, she joked she was taking over and calling it Britt’s. Now, it looks like that is becoming a reality.
She did so much work on Jax’s Studio City so the partners approached her and the time was right. It’ll be across from SUR and near TomTom so in the area where she began.
Are Fans Ready?
After learning about Brittany Cartwright’s new endeavor, what was the fan reaction? Were they excited for her and more so, did they think she would do better than Jax Taylor? Some followers actually thought it was a joke:
- No way. This is satire, right?
When it was explained this was real, others had a lot of questions and comments:
- Does she really have that many fans that this could be lucrative for the owners? If so I’m pretty surprised.
- I’ve never seen someone so consistent at my making the worst possible decision for herself
- This is just like podcasting now. Not everyone needs a podcast and not everyone needs a bar!
- Oh yay a person with a drinking problem opens a bar 🙄
Many felt that Brittany should stay away from alcohol and this was not the business to do it in. However, it is moving forward and will open in 2025.
