Michelle Saniei Claims Ex Jesse is in "Financial Trouble" After Blowing Through "Millions" as He Slams Her for Publicly Discussing Finances and Shades "Narrative," Plus The Valley Costars Weigh in

Michelle Saniei opened up about Jesse Lally‘s spending habits after the latest episode of The Valley, accusing her estranged husband of blowing through the millions they made during their marriage.

As Janet Caperna, 34, Brittany Cartwright, 35, and Lala Kent, 34, also weighed in, discussing Jesse’s spending and alleged debt, Michelle, 36, revealed Jesse, 43, supposedly began overspending after they welcomed daughter Isabella — while refusing to generate income for their household.

“He is in a lot of financial trouble. We were very successful. In 2018, 2019, before I was pregnant, we were selling $20 million houses, $45, we did a $60 million deal. We were doing very, very good. The problem was once I had a baby, I was working less, and he just stopped working, and he got comfortable, and he just thought, ‘Okay, I’m gonna start spending and not continue to make,’” Michelle recalled on the April 29 episode of The Valley: After Show.

According to Michelle, Jesse was buying $50 bottles of wine when they began dating, but he had upped his spending habits over the years, buying bottles ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.

“He had no problem spending an enormous amount of money on wine,” she noted, adding, “We did have millions of dollars, and that money was gone.”

Meanwhile, Jesse clapped back at Michelle’s financial claims against him, stating that it was simply her way of making him look like the villain in their divorce.

“That’s one of Michelle’s main narratives … To prove that I’m such a bad person,” he explained. “She’s actively trying to make people hate me, and if she has this narrative that I put us into ruin, then great, I accept that.”

That said, Jesse called Michelle out for publicly speaking of their finances, labeling the behavior “inappropriate.”

“I think it’s inappropriate to discuss personal and private financial stuff. That should be saved for the family, but if Michelle wants to use it as her ammunition, I’m just not going to comment on it,” he reasoned. “We’ve lived a great life. Michelle and I were 50/50 business partners. So if our business was failing, we’re both at equal fault, and Michelle had 100 percent access to all of our accounts.”

“So if there was an issue with spending, Michelle is 100 percent at fault as well,” he added.

Elsewhere, other members of The Valley shared their thoughts on Jesse’s spending.

“To me, the most unattractive thing about Jesse is him spending wildly beyond his means,” Janet declared as Lala pointed out that he appears to be renting his home.

“If you’re renting, you should not be going out spending $10, $15, $20,000 on a bottle of wine. This says to me, ‘You care a lot about what other people think of you.’ That’s like the biggest red flag,” she noted.

As for Brittany, she accused Jesse of spending “the majority of the money that they had” and not leaving Michelle with “very much.”

“[He] racked up so much debt and is now trying to put it on her,” she added.

The Valley season two airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
